James is deposing Trump for a $250MM lawsuit for lying about the value of company properties--hugely inflating them for better loan terms, massively deflating them to rip off NY and dump his tax burden on New York residents. So, Trump's mad: And, as you know, Trump gets mad, or unhinged, a lot. But, you can say the same for the many corrupt authoritarians in today's GOP. Just recently, we saw Marjorie Taylor Greene, George Santos, Republicans in the Tennessee and Idaho state legislatures, "Justice" Clarence Thomas and Govs Ron DeSantis & Greg Abott, to name a few, are not people who should be in power in a democracy. So we'll do what we did for the midterms last year and for other crucial elections, legislation, referendums, legal challenges and more--we'll support smart progressive candidates & policy and always point out the treachery of today's Republicans. We'll raise funds ($500,000 last year to help make the midterms a success), sign petitions, share newsletters with key information and more! So, as your first act as a part of our thriving community let's recognize that AG Letitia James refused to back down, even when Trump personally attacked her publicly, leading to scores of death threats and a real threat to her safety. [Let's get her back, not let Trump end the political career of a talented, young, female, Black AG by making her feel alone with the danger he's caused.
