During his time as governor, he vetoed legislation to expand abortion access, and you’d better believe he’d pave the way for national Republicans to pass a national abortion ban. He was even so condescending as to belittle abortion as “an emotional issue for women.” I believe that workers’ rights should be expanded, and unions given more power to collectively bargain, but Hogan disagrees. He vetoed a law that would have allowed workers to deduct union dues from state income taxes. I believe that we can and should be doing more to improve the lives of working Marylanders, but again, Hogan disagrees. That’s why he vetoed a $15 minimum wage.
