The Texas GOP’s new radical law:

This is unspeakably evil. ⚠️ Reproductive Freedom is Under Attack: Texas Republicans’ new law offers $10,000 bounties to anybody willing to sue for aiding or abetting an abortion. The Texas GOP is attacking abortion access from every angle imaginable and getting away with it. The law Gov. Abbott signed in May will ban all abortions after 6 weeks of pregnancy, making it one of the most extreme bans in the country. And beginning September 1st, people who have gotten abortions, doctors, therapists, partners, friends, or others supporting reproductive freedom in Texas can be SUED. Let that sink in: anyone — ANYWHERE — can sue someone just for protecting a woman's right to choose. For their efforts, a person could be awarded a bounty of up to $10,000 for “turning in” someone who aided or abetted an abortion. Make no mistake: the Texas GOP’s radical bill is a devastating blow to Roe v. Wade and women’s health care everywhere. Republicans are emboldened by Donald Trump’s Supreme Court justices who have committed to overturning Roe v. Wade when given the opportunity — and this is that opportunity.
