Who I am and where I come from

{NAME}, I grew up in a working-class family as the granddaughter of immigrants and the daughter of a World War II veteran. I was the first in my family to graduate from college, and I worked multiple jobs – including as a waitress at Caesars Palace – and took out student loans to make ends meet.
