Hi Hands down, affiliate marketing is the BEST way to make money online. The benefits of affiliate marketing are; - You can earn even while you sleep - The sky’s the limit to your earnings - It’s free to join and promote almost all affiliate programs - You can work from anywhere, and the list goes on Did you know that we made over $450,000 just from one [affiliate program called Semrush]( But… there’s ONE issue with affiliate marketing. Most beginners don’t make even $100 and quit when they don’t see a single sale. If you’re also among them struggling to make more affiliate sales, you might be making a few mistakes. In this email, we’ll focus on some of the common (yet costly) mistakes most affiliate beginners make while launching a niche site. Mistake #1: Focusing only on sales I get it. You need to promote affiliate programs to make money. But… if you keep promoting products without focusing on adding value, you’ll get no sales. My tip is to stop promoting too many products. Pick one or two HIGHLY useful products that your target audience wants. Educate your audience about those products. You can create blog posts, offer free trials, video tutorials, create free PDFs, checklists, etc to create awareness around the products. Your sales are directly proportional to the VALUE you add to your affiliate products. If you don’t understand this one thing, you’ll NEVER be successful with affiliate marketing. Pro tip: Don’t bombard your articles with affiliate links. Even if you promote 10+ affiliate products in one article, add affiliate links to only one particular product. Make sure to use an affiliate disclosure saying you earn a commission while your audience makes a purchase through your links. Mistake #2: Forgetting SEO If there’s ONLY one thing you need to generate more sales, it is this: TRAFFIC. You need high-quality traffic to your affiliate products. We rely heavily on Google traffic, which is also the main reason why our blog generates over $15,000 each month from affiliate products. Yes, you can use social media sites, Q & A platforms like Quora, WhatsApp groups, etc for promoting your affiliate posts. But.. that kind of traffic is mostly irrelevant. You need HIGHLY relevant people to visit your affiliate product pages who’re actually interested in your products. Here’s where SEO comes into play. Make sure to find relevant long-tail keywords around the products you recommend. Build links and grow your domain authority to start ranking on the first page. Once your articles start ranking well on Google, you’ll automatically generate more sales. Mistake #3: Promoting the wrong products What’s the point of promoting a product that no one likes? You should spend A TON of time deciding on what products to promote, especially if you’re starting a new website. Know your target audience. Analyze your competitors. See what products they’re promoting. Remember that not all products are created equal. Make sure to promote ONLY those products you think your audience will be interested in. So there you go.
