Hi Lots of people often ask me questions like “how can I succeed as a blogger”, “how can I make more money from blogging” “how to increase my blog’s traffic?”, etc. Here’s a HARSH truth about blogging. The first year of ANY new blog is challenging. To be precise, the first 6 to 8 months are EXTREMELY hard. Did you know that only 3000 people visited our blog BloggersPassion in its first year of launch (back in 2010)? Here’s the traffic report of our blog in 2010; Now, our blog generates more than 200,000 visitors a month and over $15,000/mo in revenue. Most people give up within six months. That’s why the failure rate in blogging is so high. Also, new bloggers focus on TOO many things at once. In this quick email, I’ll show you what to focus on and what things to ignore. Let’s get started! Quick note: This email is mainly applicable to beginners and those who’re planning to launch new blogs. Do's The following things are the MOST important. - Keyword research (if you ignore keyword research, you’ll NEVER get enough search traffic from Google) - Write engaging blog posts (try to publish at least 50 high-quality blog posts and include an FAQ section in each one of them) - Grab social media handles with your name or domain name - Analyze your competitors’ top-performing pages (use tools like Semrush) Don'ts The following things are NOT so important. But most people spend A TON of time on the following things. - Spending a ton of time on your new blog’s design, fonts, logos, etc. - Link building (it’s a waste of time unless you already have enough blog posts and getting a decent amount of traffic from Google) - Learning a lot (this is funny, but most people learn A LOT and don’t apply whatever they learn). Remember, you’ll succeed only when you put things into action! Like this quick email? Found it interesting or inspiring? If yes, please reply to this email with a “YES” so I can send more such emails in the coming days. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
