Hi In the twelfth lesson, we shared how much money and traffic we make, including the traffic and earning reports. In this email, you’ll learn how to generate your first affiliate sale if you’re a beginner. Whether you’re new to affiliate marketing or blogging for a while but have NEVER made a single affiliate product sale, this email is extremely helpful for you. Without further ado, let’s get started! If you don’t know yet, most of our blog’s income comes from affiliate marketing. In fact, I’m one of the top affiliates for the #1 SEO toolkit Semrush as I made more than $430,000 from the [Semrush affiliate program](. Have a look at the earning report. So yes, affiliate marketing is a fantastic way to make thousands of dollars online. But here’s the thing: it’s NOT easy. You need momentum to continuously work hard towards affiliate marketing. Here’s where your first affiliate sale comes in handy. How to get your first affiliate sale? Your first affiliate sale is REALLY special. Why? You’ll remember it for a lifetime. I now make hundreds of affiliate product sales in a month but I still remember the first sale and how it gave me the confidence to keep going. So if you’re a beginner or new to affiliate marketing, try to get your first sale as soon as possible. Because it gives you HUGE confidence and momentum to go forward. That being said, here are THREE PROVEN ways to get your first affiliate sale in 2022. 1. Leverage your network Connecting with your personal networks is probably the best way to get your first affiliate product sale. Let all your friends, colleagues, and relatives know that you’re running a blog. Trust me, most of them would love to help their friends. You never know when you'll meet someone who could be your next big customer. In addition, try to stay active on social media and connect with potential customers. By building and leveraging your existing network, you'll be in a much better position to get your first affiliate sale. 2. Offer incentives You can try incentives if you don’t want anyone in your existing network to know about your blogging or affiliate marketing goals. You can offer special discounts or freebies, such as eBooks, checklists, etc., to anyone who prefers to buy an affiliate product using your link. You can create a special page where you can mention what you’re going to offer if someone buys through your links. In case you’re wondering, we offer a [30-day FREE trial with Semrush]( (which is a HUGE incentive for most people to try the tool). Offering an incentive works like a charm in getting your first sale. 3. Try a giveaway As any successful affiliate marketer knows, giveaways are essential for building an audience and growing your sales. Not only do they provide an incentive for people to join your contests but they’ll create an interest in trying out the products you recommend. Make sure to choose relevant products to give away. For example, if you’re running a weight loss blog, it’s a good idea to give away a fitness tracker, something like an Apple Watch. Similarly, if you're selling children's toys, giving away a family vacation might not be the best choice (as it’s totally irrelevant). It's also important to set clear rules and regulations for the giveaway and to promote it heavily through social media. The key here is to collect as many subscribers as you can. Then, you can create a simple email sequence that educates the products you promote.   Finally, in order to turn your FIRST affiliate sale into a stream of passive income, you'll need to continue to create great content, build trust and grow your affiliate marketing business. Make sure to enjoy the journey and use the first affiliate sale as motivation to keep moving forward. What’s coming up next? Stay tuned for the Fourteenth lesson as you’re going to discover how to make money as a freelancer (that comes to your email inbox on Tuesday at 11 AM IST).
