Hi We discussed using Facebook groups to promote your blog in the eighth lesson. We’ll discuss bringing more traffic to your blog through guest posting in this email. Why should YOU write guest posts? Here’s an interesting thing: I started my [blogging career in 2005](. I launched my blog BloggersPassion in 2010. Here’s what it looked like in 2010; Fast forward to 2022, bloggers worldwide are still using guest posts to build backlinks. How fascinating is that? We’ve written hundreds of guest posts in the last 12+ years, and our guest posts are landed on some of the biggest sites like Problogger, Semrush, and more. Blogging is evolving, and only a handful of evergreen techniques exist. Guest posting is one among them. Even after a decade, you can write guest posts for other websites. That’s how powerful guest posts are. But here’s the thing: you can’t write mediocre guest posts and expect better results. Here are a few PROVEN yet simple guest blogging tips you can use to build and grow your traffic in 2022. Find guest posting sites: The first step to guest blogging is to create a list of websites that accept guest posts. If you’re in a hurry, here’s a [HUGE list of 350 free guest posting sites]( where you can publish your guest posts. Also, you can use the following search terms on Google to quickly find target blogs for guest posts. - “guest post submission guidelines” + topic name - “contributor” + topic name - “submit guest post” + “keyword” - “topic” + “write for us” - “guest post” + topic name Come up with topic ideas: Once you have a list of guest posting sites, go through them one by one. Then, come up with guest post ideas for those blogs. You can go through their popular posts and come up with similar or better topic ideas. Or you can use tools like Semrush to conduct keyword research and come up with great topic ideas. Send an email pitch: It’s always a good idea to send an email pitch with your topic idea to the blog owner. Or you can also write a high-quality guest post and then start pitching relevant blogs to publish it. Write your guest post: Once you’re done pitching the bloggers, you can start writing your guest post. Make sure to spend lots of time on research because that’s what makes a great guest post. Use tools like Grammarly, Google Docs, etc to write error-free guest posts. You can also read the published guest posts on the target website to see how they write and craft their blog posts. Make sure guest posts are original, highly informative, and add value to their target audience. Add relevant links to your website or other relevant posts on your blog. That’s how you generate traffic to your blog through guest posts. Follow up: Once the writing part is done, you can send your guest post to the target blogs. Sometimes, bloggers are busy and they don’t respond immediately. So it’s your job to send follow-up emails (once a week). That’s it, once your guest post goes live, promote as much as you can. Use social media, your email lists, Quora, etc to promote your guest posts. What’s coming up next? Stay tuned for the TENTH lesson as you’re going to learn a few QUICK fixes to boost your website’s speed (that comes to your email inbox on Tuesday at 11 AM IST).
