In the seventh lesson, we discussed how to use Quora to get HUGE traffic. In this email, we’ll discuss how to bring more traffic to your blog using Facebook groups. Why should YOU use Facebook groups? Although there are a ton of social media platforms out there including Twitter, Instagram, etc but Facebook is the BEST way to generate traffic. Why? Unlike other platforms, Facebook gives access to a wide range of Facebook groups that you can join. Also, over 2.94 billion monthly active users use Facebook. Currently, 1.96 billion users are visiting it DAILY! So if you’re NOT using Facebook yet, you’re making a mistake. Facebook groups offer many benefits including; - Connect with other bloggers - Share your knowledge and learn from others - Generate traffic to your blog - Build and grow your online reputation and so much more The best part? It’s totally free to join 99% of the Facebook groups. You can simply enter the keywords related to your niche (for example, blogging, SEO, fitness, lifestyle, etc) and you’ll find dozens of groups on Facebook. For instance, if you search for "SEO", you’ll find the following groups on Facebook; Similarly, you can find "n" number of Facebook groups by entering the keywords related to your niche. Once you find and join a couple of Facebook groups related to your industry, here are a few things you can do to generate traffic, build your network and grow your online reputation. Find active groups Firstly, find an active Facebook group. What’s the point of joining a group where you don’t see any new stuff? Something new should be posted on the group every day (new posts, polls, questions, etc.). If you’re looking for a blogging/SEO group, you can join the BloggersPassion VIP group, which is extremely active as we post something every day (and we make sure to keep the group clean from spammers). [Join the BloggersPassion Facebook group]( Post something new Find at least 2 to 3 active groups on Facebook where you can post something new. Don’t spam the groups by posting your website links. It’s NOT a good idea! Instead, here are a few things you can do; - Ask polls in the groups you follow - Ask interesting questions - Share the tips or strategies that you know and follow. You can also leave useful comments on others’ posts or threads to engage with other bloggers. Connect with other members If you’re active on a few Facebook groups for a week or two, you’ll easily find a handful of members who regularly add value to the group. They can be either admin, moderators, or other group members. Send friend requests. Connect and network with them. All these things go a long way. Start your own Facebook Group Once you’ve enough exposure and connections on Facebook, it’s a smart idea to start your own Facebook group. Make sure to spend enough time to moderate the group, post interesting stuff regularly and help people as much as you can. The best thing about having your own FB group is that you can post anything you want. You can promote your new blog posts, products, promote videos, etc. But wait for the perfect time as you need to build prior connections on Facebook. You can do that only by joining other FB groups and interacting frequently with others first. What’s coming up next? Stay tuned for the NINTH lesson, as you’ll learn how to use guest posts to build high-quality links and generate more traffic to your blog (that comes to your email inbox on Tuesday at 11 AM IST).
