Hello! Shawn here. And welcome to this week’s edition of the 2x2 Newsletter. Your premier Friday email for doing the important work that matters while creating and protecting your free time to enjoy life. I’m so glad you’re here. Check this out 1: [Read This if You’re a Perfectionist]( Put another way, intentional quantity leads to quality. 2: [The Hype Doc]( example from Sarah K and [Julia Evans]( (brag doc) is a lot like a productivity journal (but with a much better name). In this context it’s just accomplishments at work — but you could definitely use this for personal milestones as well. Something to think about 1: Speaking of hype… How do you celebrate your wins? It’s Friday. What is something you did this week that deserves a moment of recognition? (One of the easiest ways that I prefer to recognize my progress on something and celebrate a win is by making a note about it in my Day One.) 2: Decisions are Just Bets on a FutureSomething I learned reading [Annie Duke’s book]( is that decisions are simply bets on a future you think is mostly likely to happen. There is not a binary, right or wrong, black or white in which you hope to pick the right one and find out later if you did or not. Rather, it is a gradient scale of possibilities… and so you decide on the future that you think is most likely to happen and then adjust if you find out you were wrong. * * * — Shawn  [Simple Habits (half-priced course this month)](With good habits in place, your life is easier.
