One of the most important concepts to learn as you figure out your 2024 plans comes from David Allen: You can do anything you want, but you canât do everything you want. Oof. That used to hit me like a ton of bricks. Itâs painful when deciding what to say ânoâ to. But over the years, Iâve noticed something⦠As you go through the process of editing down your goals and plans, the âpainâ of focusing on just a few things creates a tremendous sense of clarity. Themes begin to emerge. They might be themes within your family life. Or your business. Or your creative pursuits. Or your finances. A year ago, there was one clear-cut theme I felt in my gut after going through this exercise toward the start of 2023: Design. I knew that in 2023 I wanted to design better systems for my business. I wanted to design new products for my business. I wanted to design better ways of helping people unlock focus in their lives. And guess what?
