Hello! Welcome to this week’s edition of the 2x2 newsletter. Your premier Friday email for business owners, leaders, creators, and decision makers like you who want to manage their tasks, time, and ideas better. Pre-S: Next month is September! My team and I have a slew of things in store for you as we head into the fall and toward the New Year. If you’re someone who appreciates a heads up / FYI… then I’ve listed out everything for you at the bottom. Check this out 1: [Callsheet: A faster, better IMBD app]( This is the app that I never knew I needed and now I can’t live without. My wife and I are at that stage in life where we can’t make it through a TV show without pausing at least once or twice to find out: “who is that? What have we seen them in before?” Callsheet ([App Store Link]() is not only faster and easier to use than the IMDB website or even Google — it also has settings to help you avoid spoilers. Thank you, Casey. 🙏 2: [Marie Poulin: The power of in-person Masterminds](Marie wrote an excellent behind-the-scenes look at what a mastermind is and why they’re so powerful. (I began hosting my summer mastermind retreats back in 2017. Here’s my behind-the-scenes look at [how I went about planning that first one](.) Something to think about 1: The 5-Minute Rule Do you ever have a project or task that you don’t want to do? For me it’s routinely the same 3 things: cleaning the kitchen after the kids are in bed, doing my workout, and my writing time. Oftentimes it’s getting started that is the most difficult part. So, here’s a tip: Commit to the first 5 minutes of it. No distractions, no interruptions. Work for 5 minutes straight. Set a timer. Then, after 5 minutes if you’re still not into it, take a break or leave the rest for another day. 2: How Goal Setting and Time Management Fit Together At the end of the day, accomplishing your goals and living a life full of meaningful productivity comes down to these three things: clarity, time management, and integrity. - Clarity: Knowing and deciding what to do. - Time Management: Knowing when to do it. - Integrity: Doing that which you’ve said you’ll do. And, as a bonus, celebrate your follow-through and your wins. That which gets rewarded gets repeated. (Side note, here’s[a workshop that goes in depth into that flywheel](.) * * * — Shawn P.S.
