Hey all, Welcome to another weekly edition of 2x2. As always, I've got a couple of resources, tools, diversions, books, tools, toys, or other types of recommendations for you to check out; and then, secondly, are a couple of ideas, stories, or tips from me. As I write this week's newsletter, I've just spent the past two days updating the workbook for our upcoming [Focus course Academy](. And so, as you might expect, I am bubbling with ideas and insights around some of this stuff. I've pulled two little nuggets from the workbook to share below. And, speaking of... a quick housekeeping note that if you are wanting to join us for this all-new, Focus Course Academy, then you will need to sign up now. [Registration for this Fall Cohort ends after the weekend.]( * * * Check this out 1: [How to Engineer Flow]( If you work with your brain all day, here are a few smart ideas and boundaries from Sharif Shameem that can help you show up with clarity, focus, and stamina. One thing I would add to Shameem's list is to have a start-up routine. Some sort of ritual of steps you take that tells your brain, "okay it’s now time to get focused". (BTW, David Sparks is going to be giving a whole workshop about his Startup and Shutdown routines during Focus Academy.) 2: [New Album from Andrew Belle]( (iTunes link) Speaking of flow, I have been listening nonstop to the new Andrew Belle album, and it is excellent. (Thanks to Jeff Sheldon for the new music tip off.) Something to think about 1: A Question For the Roles in Your Life How often do you find that you are consumed by one or two roles in your life, and that the others do not receive the time and attention you’d like to give them? 2: Your MOB Without Margin, Ownership, and Boundaries (MOB) then it will be difficult to lean into, and show up for, your most important roles. - Margin: Do you have the breathing room, health, and strength you need in order to lean into each area of your life? - Ownership: Are you taking personal ownership over the things that you can control? - Boundaries: Do you have clear and healthy boundaries around what is yours to manage (and what is not yours to manage)? Without boundaries you may take on more than you can handle. * * * — Shawn P.S. [Red or Blue?]() [In-Depth App Training for Power Users]( To unsubscribe, click [here](. Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
