Hello friends, Welcome to this week's edition of 2x2. It has been just over a month since trying out

Hello friends, Welcome to this week's edition of 2x2. It has been just over a month since trying out this new idea for the Friday email format. I am very much enjoying writing for this new style, and the feedback from you all has been great. I plan to continue it on at least through the summer and into the fall, and then we'll see from there. (Speaking of feedback, that reminds me that I owe you all some replies about: (a) the music roundup for doing focused work; and (b) some favorite summer cooking / grilling recipes.) As always, below you will find a couple of resources, tools, diversions, books, tools, toys, or other types of recommendations for you to check out; and then, secondly, are a couple of ideas, stories, or tips from me. Check this out 1: [Get your own custom stationary]( A while back I had a set of these custom stationary cards made for myself. They are simple cards with my initials, and they are useful for so many things! Sending someone a happy birthday note, or a thank you, or a "thinking of you". Because they're generic, they are usable for a bunch of different things. And because they are high quality and customized, they feel special. 2: [Project Hail Mary]( There is a brand new novel out by Andy Weir, and my copy just arrived Wednesday evening. I loved both The Martianand Artemis. Really looking forward to this next one. Something to think about 1: DND until lunch The morning time from 6am until noon is my most precious time of the day. This is my personal time, and then also my "focused work" time. As such, I keep all of my devices in Do Not Disturb until noon. My iPhone, iPad, Mac, etc. This way I am free from any and all notifications, pings, buzzes, until the morning is over. 2: How would you invest $50,000? A few weeks ago I asked folks on Twitter what they would do if they had $50,000 to invest in something, start something, or grow something… The responses ranged from crypto to index funds, taking a year off to write a book to putting a down payment on a home. [You can read the replies here.]( How would you invest $50,000? * * * — Shawn P.S. Food for thought: [is it truly money that’s holding you back?
