Hi Friend, Many wait until an emergency arises before paying attention to an area of life. For example: Some ignore their health until they get sick or have a health emergency. Or, they ignore their finances until they have an unexpected expense, loss of income, or another type of financial emergency. That is REACTIVE LIVING. Reactive living means you only focus on an area of life after things get bad (which is stressful, scary, and often too late). But that's not the only option. * * * There's an adage which says, "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." By taking action before things gets serious, you can save yourself a lot pain and heartache. This is exactly what successful people do. Instead of being REACTIVE as things happen to them, they are PROACTIVE and take action before things get bad. In other words, they live their life by design, not by default. They design their life in a way that prioritizes the things that are important, and they create habits and routines to help support their vision and their values - even when things are crazy. (Have you ever noticed how some folks who have things together seem to have it ALL together? They have a plan for their finances and are living within their means, they take care of their health, they have time for important relatinships, and they also do meaningful work...?) That's because these people have leveraged habits and routines to automate progress in the most important areas of their lives. And it's how they are able to keep every area of their life on track ... it's how they can be PROACTIVE.
