Friend, After considerable deliberation, we picked Things 3 as the best productivity app out there.

[The Sweet Setup Newsletter]( Friend, After considerable deliberation, we picked Things 3 as the best productivity app out there. We have a LOT of app picks on our site, but the productivity space is... well, let's just say some people have opinions about this stuff... 🤣 So needless to say, a significant amount of thought went into our review and pick for the best to-do app. I myself was an avid Things user way (way) back in the day (as far back as 2008), but then I switched to OmniFocus for a bit. Then I switched to Todoist for a few months, and then back to Things when version 3 shipped in the spring of 2017. Since Things 3 shipped back in 2017, it has been getting consistent updates for  some of the most commonly requested features that I know of. Features such as repeating to-dos within projects, keyboard shortcuts for iPad, iOS drag and drop support, automation and shortcut support, the Send to Things email feature, Shortcuts support, and... Dark Mode!!! At the end of the day, what I love about Things is that it is the perfect combination of power, simplicity, and elegance. This, to me, is a requirement for a "best app pick". It has got to be a fantastic and delightful app. * * * That said.... Today I have a tutorial video that’s just for those on the email list. (The link is at the bottom of this email.) Now, as you may know, our most popular course on The Sweet Setup is called All the Things. This productivity course actually has two parts: an "Analog" section and a "Digital" section. The Analog section hits on all of the most important things you need to know for managing your tasks and your time. The Digital section walks you through everything there is to know about Things on the iPad, iPhone, and Mac. As I was creating this course, I worked my way through every nook and cranny of Things. And that process endeared me even more to this amazing app. Above: The view of my desk while I was making each of the in-depth app tutorial videos. I’ve been using the latest version of Things (version 3) since it was in beta. So needless to say, I'm very familiar with it. But the process of teaching other people how to use the app caused me to become even more familiar with it. (Surprise!) That familiarity has given me an increased confidence in using the app every day. Plus, I have to admit that I have even learned a few new tricks. One of which I included in [this preview video]( I’m sharing with you today. It was simultaneously challenging and fun to create the whole course, and I loved seeing it all come together. That said, here's your special link to the preview video: [thesweetsetup.com/things-tricks/]( — Shawn P.S. In the preview video, I share two tips. One of which is a way for you to use Global Tags within a Project and how those can be used  to quickly sort a bunch of tasks in your Today view. (This is a game changer.)
