Hello! Shawn here. And welcome to this week’s edition of the 2x2 Newsletter. Your premier Friday email for doing the important work that matters while creating and protecting your free time to enjoy life. I’m so glad you’re here. Check this out 1: [Super mega ultralight backpacking]( Now this is thinking outside the box. 2: [Pre-Order the new Mat Kearney vinyl]( I’ve long been a fan of Mat Kearney. His new album drops in a few weeks, and this orange and blue splatter vinyl is available for pre-order. Something to think about 1: Normalize the life you want to live I work with a lot of busy entrepreneurs, and it’s amazing how many of them have normalized being busy. They’ve normalized stress and anxiety. They’ve normalized urgency. They’ve normalized being always connected. Do you know anyone who is busy, stressed, and overwhelmed who actually wants that type of day-to-day life? I know I don’t. What if you and I normalized the opposite of those things? I’ve normalized margin and breathing room in my schedule. I’ve normalized making choices that reflect my values. I’ve normalized doing less but better. I’ve normalized giving an abundance of time to the relationships and activities that are healthy for my life. This is, unfortunately, counter cultural. And it’s the sweet, sweet reward of living a focused life. 2: The quality of your questions matter I grew up being taught that there are no stupid questions, only stupid answers... But that doesn’t mean all questions are equal. A great question will go a whole lot further in getting you to a great answer. * * * — Shawn P.S.
