#BelieveintheBx Friends, Elections are always exciting but waiting on ballots can be stressful. Today, you may be feeling it. Please be patient as the ballots are being counted. We are very confident that we will be soon saying President-Elect Joe Biden and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris. [Please watch this morning’s briefing from our Campaign Manager Jen O'Malley Dillon and our Campaign Counsel Bob Bauer for a clear update on where the votes stand and where we see the race progressing.]( Here is everything you need to know now to ease your mind: WHERE WE STAND: Joe Biden is on track to win this election, and, he will be the next President of the United States. WE ARE ON A CLEAR PATH TO VICTORY By this afternoon, we expect Joe Biden will have leads in states that put him over 270 electoral votes. He will garner more votes than any presidential candidate in history and we’re still counting -- over 135M votes that have been counted so far, with over 69M voting for Vice President Biden. He’s won over 50% of the popular vote. We are on track to win Michigan by more than Donald Trump did in 2016, win Wisconsin by more than Trump did in 2016, win Pennsylvania by more than Trump did in 2016 -- and we flipped one of his states (Arizona) and congressional districts (Nebraska-2) last night, to boot. VICE PRESIDENT BIDEN WILL WIN THIS ELECTION Wisconsin: We believe we have won this state. Joe Biden is winning by roughly 21,000 votes and there are very few votes outstanding -- only two counties, Pierce and Richland, have precincts outstanding, which account for at most about 5,000 votes. Trump would need four times that to overtake our lead. Nevada: We expect to win this race - we are already in the lead. Joe Biden is winning by roughly 8,000 votes and we do not see any outstanding ballots that give us any reason to believe this will change. It is vote by mail that is still outstanding in this state. Michigan: We expect to win this race. The ballots that are outstanding are mostly in Democratic-heavy areas and absentee ballots, and Joe Biden is winning by roughly 12,000 votes. Kalamazoo and Wayne County are both outstanding, which we expect to be about 200,000 votes. To put this in perspective, Wayne County only has to come in at 2016 levels for us to win. We expect final results are likely to come in today. Pennsylvania: We expect to win this race. There are 1.4M outstanding ballots that will be counted over the coming days - most of them projected to be from Dem-heavy areas and mail-in votes. We expect that these ballots will more than overcome Trump’s 600K margin in the state. WE THINK IT POSSIBLE BIDEN WILL STILL GO WELL BEYOND 270 Along with Arizona, which was already called for us, any three of the four states above get us to 270; we think this is a foregone conclusion. But there are some other states still in play that could bolster our margin of victory. Georgia: This race is currently a toss-up. Many outstanding ballots are in the Atlanta area which favors Biden; we expect these are likely to be reported today. North Carolina: We think this race is tight and is leaning to Trump right now. We think we may have to wait several days to know the outcome of this race depending on how quickly the state counts remaining ballots. IF COUNTING STOPPED RIGHT NOW (which it won’t), JOE BIDEN WOULD BE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES Last night the President of the United States falsely claimed he had won this race, and then demanded that votes stop being counted. He looked at the information last night and decided that his only option was to throw a hail Mary to disrupt the process and call for the vote counting to stop. He demanded that millions of people all over this country including essential workers and service members -- be denied their right to vote. Donald Trump is wrong. With millions of votes uncounted, he hasn’t won the election. He doesn’t get to decide whose votes get counted, or whether they get counted. The American people get to pick their president -- the President doesn’t get to pick the people whose votes get counted. But let’s be extremely clear about something: if Donald Trump got his wish and we stopped counting ballots right now Joe Biden would be the next President of the United States. Joe Biden will fight for every vote to be counted. Some of the outstanding votes will be for Joe Biden, some will be for Donald Trump -- but Joe Biden believes they should all be counted. And when all of the votes are tallied -- as they have been in every election since our country was founded -- we are confident that Joe Biden will be the next President of the United States.
