[Black Voters Matter logo]( Hi Friend, As we close out another monumental year at Black Voters Matter, we want to take a moment to reflect on our accomplishments, acknowledge the challenges that lie ahead, and, most importantly, express our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support and commitment to our cause. Throughout 2023, Black Voters Matter has granted over $5.9 MILLION on the ground to Black-led organizations and have tirelessly championed for the key initiatives that are central to our mission: - We have continued to fight for voting rights, ensuring that every Black voice is heard and every Black vote counts while also spreading love and building power on the ground through voter education and engagement. - We have supported campaigns for reparations through $200K distributed in capacity building grants and in-kind services, acknowledging the historical injustices and economic disparities faced by our community.  - We have advocated for equitable health care, working to dismantle systemic barriers and ensure equal access to quality health care for all. - Our warrant clinics have been instrumental in providing necessary legal aid to reduce fines and fees that increase access to employment, housing, voting, and more. To date, through our strategic partnership with Growing Real Alternatives Everywhere (GRAE), we have cleared over $250K in fines and fees. - Our efforts towards environmental justice have been us standing up against environmental racism and championing sustainable, healthy communities.  Looking ahead to 2024, we are excited about the opportunities and challenges ahead. We are proud to host our "We Fight Back" Kick-Off Convening in Charleston, South Carolina, from January 25th to 27th. This three-day convening promises to be an engaging platform that brings together Black leaders, grassroots organizations, the faith community, social justice advocates, and HBCU students.   Together, we can create a better future. We are grateful for your support and look forward to continuing our fight for justice and equality in the coming year – Save The Date! [SUPPORT OUR WORK IN 2024]( In Solidarity, The BVM Team JOIN THE MOVEMENT [Support voter engagement and capacity-building through our 501c3]( [Support voter mobilization and political advocacy through our 501c4]( [Facebook]( [Twitter]( [Instagram]( [Tumblr]( [Black Voters Matter logo]( Black Voters Matter Fund is dedicated to expanding Black voter engagement and increasing progressive power through movement-building and engagement.
