Back on the road in Florida [Black Voters Matter logo]( Hi Friend, Back on the Road in Florida Last week we kicked off our Florida Homecoming Tour in Jacksonville, FL at Edward Waters University. At EWU, we had the opportunity to engage with students, educating them on how they can get involved with the voting rights movement in their state. This past year we witnessed [the second-highest youth turnout in three decades]( and want to keep building on that engagement by  continuing to mobilize young voters across the country. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be stopping at Bethune Cookman University, Florida Memorial University, and Florida A&M University to mobilize more young people to get out and vote. Join us and be a part of the GOTV movement!   Join Us for our Upcoming Michigan Warrant Clinic On October 14th, from 10 AM to 3 PM ET, we are bringing our warrant clinic to the Butzel Family Recreation Center in Detroit, Michigan. In partnership with [GRAE]( and other local organizations, we will be on the ground helping Michiganders address outstanding warrants. We'll also provide essential resources and childcare support to make this process easier for everyone. But that's not all. In addition, we plan to reach out to 600+ registered participants through our warrant clinic phone bank to make sure that they attend our upcoming clinic. Join us for our virtual training and outreach tomorrow at 6 PM ET. [REGISTER NOW](   Getting Out the Vote in Houston, Texas From October 13-15, we'll be traveling across Houston, teaming up with local partners to mobilize voters ahead of the November 7th General Municipal Election. Local elections are crucial as they have the potential to have a significant impact on issues that affect your day to day life like education, public safety, and more. If you live in Houston, Texas, make sure you check your voter status and are ready to cast your ballot before in person early voting kicks off on October 23rd. [CHECK YOUR VOTER STATUS](   Empowering Communities in Georgia and South Carolina Over the past couple of months, our dedicated organizers have been hard at work, engaging students, registering voters, and addressing pressing issues in Georgia and South Carolina! Let’s celebrate all the incredible work they are doing together! - Kendra Rolle, Coastal South Regional Organizer, engaged 190 students, stressing the importance of voter participation. - Ida Gary, Middle Region Regional Organizer, collaborated with Ekklesia Worship Center, Helping Others Foundation, and HIPS for an impactful Breast Cancer Awareness Event, registering 50 women to vote while offering crucial resources. - In Albany, GA, our partner Ossie's Fair Housing & Homecare Inc joined forces with Kanisha Jones, Georgia Southwest Regional Organizer, resulting in 6 new voter registrations and 30 pledges to vote, all while addressing housing challenges. - Meanwhile, in South Carolina, our "Hip Hop 2 The Polls" event at Coastal Carolina University was a triumph, with 40 new voter registrations and 50 volunteers signing up for canvassing. [Help us build on these successes by making a donation today. Your support fuels real change on the ground. Donate now]( [DONATE NOW](   Boots to the Ballot Box: Uniting for Voting Rights in D.C. Let's unite for a cause that transcends politics and stands for the very heart of our democracy — voting rights. At "Boots to the Ballot Box," our co-founders LaTosha Brown and Cliff Albright will join JusticeAid, MSNBC’S Joy Reid, and others in Washington, D.C. to confront the challenges of voter suppression head on. In the spirit of unity, this event will elevate the voices of those on the front lines and highlight how we can collectively protect the rights of marginalized communities at the ballot box. Attending “Boots to the Ballot Box” is free, but we kindly request that you register. [REGISTER NOW](   Volunteer With BVM Help us mobilize voters across the country to get out and vote!
