November is just 101 days away! And as we approach these critical midterm elections, it is more important than ever that we make a plan to vote and mobilize our communities.  We won’t mince words: legislators are working to chip away at our rights - from our ability to vote to our ability to make reproductive decisions, and this upcoming election will be our opportunity to maintain our power! It is time for our politicians to stand up and meet the needs of their constituents. The talk will focus on lessons learned from the Georgia election, coming out of the just-released book, Power Concedes Nothing: How Grassroots Organizing Wins Elections. Her crime? Yelling at a police officer during a small protest following the murder of George Floyd during the summer of 2020.  While Martin was acquitted on the charge of participating in a riot, she was found guilty of breach of peace.
