We’re committed to the fight for voting rights now more than ever. Here’s why… [Black Voters Matter logo]( Friend, We’re committed to the fight for voting rights now more than ever. Here’s why… Right now, countless states across the country are redrawing their electoral maps and creating new voting districts. Many of these new maps are being drawn for political power, with the end result of further removing Black communities from power and diminishing the impact that our votes may have. Meanwhile, we’re seeing the returns from last week’s primary elections, with key states across the South casting their votes. While we’re heartened by the [record turnout](, we know that [November may look quite different]( in terms of how intensely voters feel the effects of voter suppression. For these reasons, we remain steadfast in our commitment to equipping and elevating Black voters. That’s why we’ll continue to fight unjust redistricting practices and insidious voter suppression laws to prevent those in power from limiting ours. Join us in the fight for fair maps and voting rights now by signing our One Million for Voting Rights Pledge. This pledge is a commitment to fighting for federal legislation that would revolutionize the voting rights movement. [TAKE THE PLEDGE]( Want to get involved beyond signing the pledge? As part of our commitment to supporting Black voters, we’re excited to announce the Freedom Summer Bus Tour: a multi-state Bus tour highlighting our Warrant Clinics. Today, outstanding warrants keep voters away from the polls for fear of arrest. Through our Warrant Clinics, we partner with state and local justice departments to help individuals clear outstanding warrants from their records without the fear of arrest or prosecution - guaranteed. For this reason, Warrant Clinics are essential to serving our communities and improving voter turnout. In the month of June, we’ll be traveling to Louisiana, North Carolina, and Texas to eliminate warrants and reduce fines and fees! [SIGN UP & STAY UPDATED](   Updates From the Field Pennsylvania Bus Tour Recap Over the last couple of weeks, we traveled across the state of Pennsylvania engaging with Black communities on the ground. We headed to Philadelphia for “Stop The Violence” outreach, participated in an LGBTQ+ Rally in Pittsburgh, and organized a Day of Action at the Capitol in Harrisburg to “Protect The Vote.'' Louisiana Juneteenth Event Juneteenth is just around the corner! Here’s how you can join us in celebrating this year: Join us for the 11th Annual Juneteenth Celebration at Charles Johnson Park in Monroe, Louisiana. Enjoy the parade, get registered to vote, and sign-up to become an Election Day volunteer! Poor People’s Campaign Moral March on Washington and to the Polls For Juneteenth, we will gather with the Poor People’s Campaign in Washington, DC for the Moral March on Washington and to the Polls. We are marching to show elected officials why it’s time for a moral revolution. [JOIN US](   Midterm elections are approaching and Black Voters Matter is being vigilant to ensure our voices will not be silenced at the polls! In Georgia, we will be following SB 202 – the bill that gives Georgia officials the power to overturn fair elections – very closely. As our BVM founders say, "Voting suppression does not only take place on Election Day." Here at BVM, we work every day to ensure our voters will not experience voter intimidation or even long lines! Your donation helps power that critical work! [Donate now & join us in the fight for fair elections!]( JOIN THE MOVEMENT [Support voter engagement and capacity-building through our 501c3]( [Support voter mobilization and political advocacy through our 501c4]( [Facebook]( [Twitter]( [Instagram]( [Tumblr]( [Black Voters Matter logo]( Black Voters Matter Fund is dedicated to expanding Black voter engagement and increasing progressive power through movement-building and engagement. Working with grassroots organizations, specifically in key states in the South, BVMF seeks to increase voter registration and turnout, advocate for policies to expand voting rights/access, and help develop infrastructure where little or none exists to support a power-building movement that keeps Black voters and their issues at the forefront of our election process.
