Get in the game with us in Georgia, Texas and beyond as we ramp up our efforts to fight voter suppression! Black Voters hit a home-run with the announcement that Major League Baseball would[move it’s upcoming All-Star game out of Atlanta]( in a show of solidarity against the Jim Crow-era restriction laws GA Republicans recently passed. MLB joins corporations like Coca-Cola in standing against Georgia’s unprecedented voter restrictions. The advocacy and activism happening in GA is delivering a powerful statement to state officials: voter restriction laws are racist and un-American, and it’s time for corporate America to take a stand. When we set out in Georgia to tackle these laws months ago, we knew it wouldn’t be an easy fight. Corporations benefit from Black voters of Georgia, and by holding them accountable we’re fueling a movement that can have ripple effects throughout the whole country, where nearly all 50 states have introduced bills targeting voting rights. With corporations and sports teams joining the movement it's time for others to join the fight. [Get in the Game]( Heating Up in Texas Last week, we highlighted the “Blackest Bus in America” as it made its way through the Lone Star state, connecting with Black voters and stirring up good trouble from San Antonio to Fort Worth. Watch our Forth Worth recap video Like Georgia, [Texas is facing unprecedented voter restriction laws]( - so you better believe we’re bringing the same tactics to TX to remind folks that it won’t be business as usual. This week, we held a press event with politicians like Beto O’Rourke, Julian Castro and partner organizations in Texas to address these restriction laws head on. If you’re looking to learn more about TX’s restriction laws, their negative impact and what can be done, check out the press conference below: [Watch Now]( Up next, we’re hosting another press event and rally in Dallas, TX specifically targeting AT&T and calling for them to join United and others in a show of solidarity with Black voters. Join us Thursday, April 8th, 11 AM CT at AT&T Plaza - 3030 Olive St Dallas, TX 75219 as we continue to raise awareness around voter suppression and police violence. Help us get the word to AT&T by sharing the click-to-tweet below: [.@ATT are you ready to join other TX based corporations in defending voting rights? You claim to stand for equality, now show us you mean it by publicly stating your opposition to SB7 and HB 6. #WeGotThePower #TXLege]( The “Blackest Bus in America” Continues On BVM is in these streets - and it’s not just Texas and Georgia! We were in Jackson, Mississippi in the lead up to their primary election yesterday.
