Ride the Early Voting Wave 🌊 BVM & Elect Justice Celebrate “National Early Vote Day?

Ride the Early Voting Wave 🌊 BVM & Elect Justice Celebrate “National Early Vote Day” on Oct 24 Early voters are breaking records! To celebrate the early voting movement, the #WEGOTTHEPOWER Bus tour is expanding in a big way and heading to Los Angeles for National Early Voter Day! We’re partnering with Elect Justice for a star-studded event this Saturday, October 24th at The Forum. The event will include performances from some of today’s hottest artists and appearances by Snoop Dogg, Tinashe, Hit-Boy and others, along with over $5k in grocery giveaways and free COVID-19 testing. Located outside of LA but want to get in on the action? The event will be streamed via Tidal for FREE and BVM will be hosting viewing parties in PA, FL, GA, MI, OH, AL, NC, SC and LA! Follow us on [Twitter]( for more details on the event as they’re released! Next Stop? BVM Bus Tour Heads to TN, FL, CA, MI and GA! November 3rd is less than two weeks away! In the final sprint towards the election, BVM’s “Blackest Bus in America” is kicking it into high gear to continue our national voter outreach campaign. In the last week alone, the Bus visited Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi - and rolls into Tennessee today - to empower folks to come together in saying #WEGOTTHEPOWER. Across its stops, the Bus connected with Black voters to spread the message of love and power, hosting BBQ’s, live music and voter information sessions. Join us when we visit your area and remember to make your plan to vote! Check out when the Bus will be in your area - with new dates added: - October 21-22: Tennessee - October 23: Florida - October 24: Los Angeles - October 27-29: Michigan - October 30-November 3: Georgia Click [here]( to access our full schedule. This Week in History This week, we look back to 1944 to honor the first Black women to receive their commissions as officers into the US Navy - Harriet Ida Pickens and Frances Elizabeth Wills. These women’s fortitude in committing to defending their country amid the second World War represents the strength and resilience that Black women hold. We salute their legacy and move to defend our country together again by getting out and voting - #WEGOTTHEPOWER! Black Voters Matter Fund is dedicated to expanding Black voter engagement and increasing progressive power through movement-building and engagement. Working with grassroots organizations, specifically in key states in the South, BVMF seeks to increase voter registration and turnout, advocate for policies to expand voting rights/access, and help develop infrastructure where little or none exists to support a power-building movement that keeps Black voters and their issues at the forefront of our election process.
