Russian troops entered the territory of Ukraine, and their missiles started destroying peaceful towns and villages. As the Russian invasion began, Ukrainians united to resist the attacker and help each other. While the government started raising funds for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, many smaller charity initiatives and organizations appeared. Some of them focused on helping the army, while others prioritized humanitarian aid for the civilians. One of the latter is [Palianytsia]( a Lviv-based charity initiative that was created by IT entrepreneurs, top managers and crypto enthusiasts from Ukraine who stayed in the country. The main idea of the Initiative is to help Ukrainian families who had to leave their homes and flee to Western Ukraine and Europe. The team of Palianytsia has built a shelter for refugees, got two warehouses in Poland and one in Lviv, Ukraine, and organized an efficient logistics system for delivering humanitarian aid all over Ukraine. In just a couple of weeks, Palianytsia has raised over $348K and counting. This includes [crypto donations]( as well. The team has provided shelter to over 1,000 people, including 400 kids, delivered 2,000 tons of food and 14,000 boxes of medicine. Moreover, recently, the Initiative has purchased 23 ambulances and 3 medical SUVs that are currently on their way to the places they are needed most. Other charitable funds and initiatives have been working hard as well and achieved impressive results. For instance, [the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine]( has launched fundraising in cryptocurrency and has already raised over $55M for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and humanitarian aid. And they were not alone who turned to the crypto community for help. Another Ukrainian initiative, [Unchain Ukraine]( has also raised $6.9M in crypto for its further distribution between volunteering organizations, funds, medical centers, and even individual volunteers. Most charities have plenty of volunteers working on a daily basis or helping them occasionally. Some organizations have even exceeded their own expectations in terms of growth and donations. However, Ukraine still needs help, so all charity initiatives are encouraging people to donate funds, proving that right now every penny matters. About Palianytsia is a charity initiative of entrepreneurs from Ukraine in cooperation with the Charitable Organization "LITTERARUM CUPIDUS". The Initiative aims to help refugees and war victims in Ukraine find shelter and retain normal lives even though they had to leave their homes due to the Russian invasion. Palianytsia is based in Lviv, Ukraine, but delivers humanitarian aid all over the country.  [Facebook]( [Twitter]( [Youtube]( [Linkedin]( [Medium](
