In recent years, there has been a notable surge in digital innovations deployed to address various challenges across the African continent. In the past few years, there has been an increase in digital innovations deployed to solve various problems across the African continent. However, despite this progress, a significant gap remains in digital adoption and accessibility, particularly between men and women. Women account for roughly half of the world’s population, yet they disproportionately make up the offline population, with South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa facing the widest gender gap. With over [3.7 billion people offline worldwide](=.eGR0zW5QMgZACfp2Yzmk_XmACaYDar0XTtVusvtzMuc), and more than half being women, it's imperative to confront this inequality. While some regions have made strides in narrowing the digital gender divide, Africa continues to experience its widening. Against this backdrop, we’re bringing together experts in digital inclusion and technology to shed light on the problem and explore solutions. Join us on Wednesday, March 27 at 11 AM (WAT) to discuss the digital gender gap in Africa and ways to achieve sustainable development and inclusive growth.
