2024 Hey . Thereâs this myth that was popular in my childhood. It claimed that if you used a dogâs eye mucus or urine to wash your face, youâd see ghosts and spirits like dogs supposedly do. I never tried it sha, because first of all, ewwww. Secondly, why, in the name of all thatâs good, would I want to see ghosts? Is the shege weâre collectively seeing in Nigeria not enough? Hian. =.lEI0HgnEiiuyJY6ftElO0mhAU3S-VWMobbSzHmJjNDw âI donât believe in dead people coming back to life or appearing to family members, but I recently saw something thatâs making me reconsider. Iâm pretty sure I saw my maternal grandmother, who has been dead for five years, on the Lagos-Ibadan train a few weeks ago. This is what happened: I was visiting Ibadan for an event, and I decided to try the train. I was in the queue to collect my ticket when I heard a very familiar voice a few feet ahead. I know my grandmaâs voice because I spent the first fifteen years of my life with her. We even used to sleep on the same bed. We were that close. I traced the direction of the voice, and I saw it belonged to an old lady who had her back turned to me. I walked forward so I could stylishly turn to see her face, but she somehow got lost in the crowd. I was still looking for her when I got on the train. When I eventually found her seated beside one young man, my heart skipped a beat, and I froze for a few minutes. She looked exactly like my grandmother. She noticed me staring and smiled. But as I started to approach her, she stood up and walked away before I got to her. I waited by her seat, but she didnât come back. When we got to Ibadan, I asked the man if he knew who she was. The man said he didnât remember any woman sitting beside him. My mum thinks I imagined the whole thing, but I know what I saw.â â Tosin. Your story could be the next one featured here.
