At some point, the subject was like he couldn’t tell if it was an interview or he was just ranting, because it was so funny. He kept talking about being 26 with no money. His partner still thinks he has time to sort shit out, but the guy knows that by 27, he won’t be able to apply for entry-level jobs anymore. This was one of my favourite interviews in a long time, especially when he said the security guard mistook his partner for his daddy. Like, what? The subject says he doesn't like asking his partner for money. I feel like it'd be easy to say I'd def ask if I was the one, but the reality is often different. Yeah. I generally don't feel comfortable asking people for money, TBH. Especially when they already spend so much without me asking, and I know I can’t even begin to match their energy. Did you find any other part of his story relatable? Definitely the travel part. He wants to travel, but doesn't even have the money to afford the application fee because it’s so much. And that'd mean uprooting the life he's still struggling to build here. It must suck to know your partner can afford it without even thinking about it, but you can't just place your life in someone else’s control.
