Also: Weddings are overrated, do you realise that now? [View in browser]( [Zikoko Daily] 19 January, 2022 Hey [Name, fallback=there]. I want to remind you that there are still amazing people doing kind things in Nigeria. I’m not sure how your day has been up until now, but today’s What She Said feels as good as waking up in the morning before your alarm goes off. Tega and I talk about why we love the story. She’s a bit of a grinch 👇🏾. Ifoghale Newsletter Editor WHAT SHE SAID The Inside Gist: My Next Stunt in JSS3 Was Therapy for ₦50 --------------------------------------------------------------- HI really want to know, how did this story make you feel — in one sentence? It made me feel warm and happy. You nko, how did it make you feel? LMAO. Like I need to work on myself. What stood out to you the most during this interview? Ah. It’s that 50 naira she was collecting to give love advice in JSS 3. I love how stumbling into her role as a self-proclaimed therapist led her into being a children’s counselor. Before I forget; how did you two meet? In uni. She was one of those loud and cheerful roommates I found annoying — I’m a bit of a grinch. We reconnected again after a few years, and I had to figure out why she was always happy all the time. Man, that’s so cool. The interview must have been a breeze… Of course. It was easy to flow from those memories of eating her mad kpomo stew back in the hostel, to the heavy stuff about losing her mum when she was eight.
