My dad bought me my first bike for my 3rd birthday, because I always saw him riding. He was a professional triathlete in his day and he noticed I took a liking to cycling. I quickly became obsessed with my bike, and I rode nearly every day around the city parks where I grew up in San Cristobal, Venezuela, and did my first race at the age of 3. Fast forward to 2011 when I decided to start taking cycling more seriously. I started reading cycling magazines and watching videos to help me become a more proficient and stronger cyclist. After college, I started to compete as a professional triathlete too. However, it all nearly ended when I almost lost my life in a biking accident in 2022.
