Peace and happiness through healthy eating. View this email online [click here](. Not enough veggies and not enough protein... that seems to be a worldwide global dilemma. Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a little bit. But, if I had to think of a list of the many struggles people have with healthy eating, those two would be high up on the list (with eating too much sugar at the very top!). Today I want to talk about the issue of "not enough protein." I know this is a struggle for many people, as protein is not as simple to grab-and-go as other foods (like crackers, cereals, and breads). An easy way to solve this problem is to incorporate a super-clean protein source into your favorite recipes. Yes, whole protein-rich foods like free-range eggs, pastured poultry, wild fish, and grass-fed meats will always be your best option, but when you're dealing with a busy schedule, using one of the delicious recipes below may be just what you need to fuel your body with enough protein each day. [My absolute favorite protein powder »]( Here are three recipes I use on a regular basis to ensure my family and I get enough protein every day. Of course, the quality of the protein powder is critical, which is why I always (and only) use Spring of Life Plant-Based Protein Powder. I was directly involved in the formulation of this protein, and I insisted it not contain any harmful or artificial ingredients. Only the best for me... and you! [Best Protein Powder for you »]( The Easiest Morning Smoothie When time is of the essence, use this smoothie to get in the perfect amount of protein, veggies, fruit, and healthy fat to start your day! Ingredients - ½ banana - ½ cup blueberries (fresh or frozen) - 1 cup kale - 1 scoop [Spring of Life Plant-Based Protein Powder]( - 1 cup almond milk Directions Combine all ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth. Chocolate Protein Yogurt If time is of the essence and you need to prepare breakfast, lunch, or a snack in record time, try this recipe! It's soooo satisfying and can be prepared in under 60 seconds. Not only will it keep you full for hours, it's great for curbing any cravings for a sweet treat and it's always a hit with the kiddos. Ingredients - 1 scoop [Spring of Life Plant-Based Protein Powder]( - 1-2 Tbsp water - ½ cup Greek yogurt - ½ banana OR ½ cup berries OR ½ chopped apple - 1 oz chopped walnuts, almonds, or pecans Directions Put the protein powder in a bowl, and mix with water until you achieve a pudding consistency. Add Greek yogurt, and mix well. Stir in fruit and nuts. Enjoy! The flavor combinations for this yogurt recipe are endless. My favorite is chocolate protein powder combined with banana and walnuts. YUM!!! On-the-Go Protein Oatmeal This recipe has saved me so many times when I've been traveling and don't have access to a refrigerator. All the ingredients easily fit in my purse, and I can make this in minutes. Ingredients - 1 packet (about ½Â cup) instant organic oatmeal - 1 scoop [Spring of Life Plant-Based Protein Powder]( - ½ cup boiling water Directions Put oatmeal in a small bowl, and add boiling water. Stir and let sit for 3 minutes. Stir in protein powder, and enjoy! If you're the type of person who races to work early in the morning and eats breakfast at your desk, this recipe is perfect for you! You can easily make it once you get to work and enjoy it before you start your day. This breakfast is also great when you have to be at the airport super early. I just ask for a cup of boiling water from any coffee shop, and they are always more than happy to give me one (although sometimes you may have to pay a few cents for the cup). If getting enough protein has been a challenge for you, try one, two, or all three of these recipes. Be sure to use a high-quality protein powder like Spring of Life Plant-Based Protein Powder. [Use THIS protein powder in your recipes »]( I promise you won't be disappointed. Not only are these recipes super easy to prepare, they are also deliciously satisfying.
