It’s not advice you hear often, but this simple meal is high in a skin-loving nutrient called SILICA {NAME}, We talk about nutrition a lot in this newsletter. After all, it’s directly related to your skin’s health and youthfulness... But there's one oft-forgotten nutrient I keep meaning to bring up... Because it's AMAZING (and essential!) for maintaining skin's elasticity and "snap." I’m talking about SILICA. See, silica is a natural element found in our bodies. Its main function? But, here’s my favorite way to up my silica intake: Ă‚ The 1x Weekly Skin-Smoothing Sandwich 2 slices whole-grain bread 1 Tbsp almond butter ½ sliced banana ...and 1 8-oz glass of dark beer to wash it down (optional) Now, this may sound more like something I’d make for my kids than myself (minus the beer)... But each of these ingredients is an excellent source of skin-nourishing silica. And let’s be honest — who doesn’t love a classic sandwich every so often? Now obviously, these aren’t everyday foods. You wouldn’t want to load up on sugar, bread, and alcohol DAILY... But here and there, it might just be the extra boost of nutrients your skin needs. After all, a little indulgence never hurt! So if you’ve been eating all the “right” foods and you’re still craving more youthful results... Make sure you’re incorporating enough silica into your diet... And watch your skin flourish!
