The French skincare recipe that will instantly brighten, tighten, and plump the look of your skin. If you are having trouble viewing this email, [click here.]( I feel inspired, {NAME}, And how could I not? I just got back from an amazing trip to Paris — mine and Kendhal’s favorite city. (Sorry LA, but it’s PARIS.) We sipped coffee in sidewalk cafes… strolled along the Champs-Élysées... and gazed upon some of the most beautiful art in history. But one of my favorite experiences actually took us outside the City of Light… And into the Champagne region of France. Famed, of course, for its champagne. That’s where I learned the bubbly drink isn’t just for celebrations… In fact, champagne has some major look-younger properties I couldn’t wait to tell you about. (So, writing this email was at the top of my to-do list when I returned.) But let me start from the beginning… When we hopped off the train in Champagne, Kendhal and I’s first stop was a private winery tour. The host, Théo, walked us through the champagne vineyard to see how the grapes are harvested and prepared for fermentation... And when it was time for a tasting, we got to talking about my work. When Théo found out about Beverly Hills MD, his face lit up. “A skincare brand?” he asked. “Did you know champagne is great for skin?” Kendhal and I looked at eachother. “I’ve never thought about it,” I said. But according to Théo, women in his family use champagne in facials all the time. His wife even had a recipe for it! At first, we were shocked. As far as I knew, champagne belonged in a flute, not on your face. But the more I thought about it, the more the champagne facial made sense. After all, grapes do have some amazing benefits for skin: - Thanks to their high levels of polyphenols and antioxidants, grapes can fend off free radicals that would otherwise cause wrinkled, loose, and dry looking skin.1What’s amazing — these compounds remain powerful even after grapes are turned into wine. - Grapes can make your skin appear more supple and radiant because they contain resveratrol. This potent compound supports collagen production — leaving you with skin that looks more young and plump.2 - Because they contain tartaric acid, grapes also work to reduce the appearance of discoloration. This natural AHA brightens the look of skin while fading the look of age spots.3 And although you could drink champagne to see these benefits… I don’t recommend this. After all, champagne is packed with sugar (which is not your skin’s friend), so it's best to enjoy it in moderation. So naturally, I had one question for Théo… “Do you think your wife would share her recipe with us?” I asked. “Oui,” he said. “I’m sure she’d love to.” A few hours later, we were back on the train to Paris — this time with a very special note in hand… Elaine’s champagne face mask recipe. This 3 ingredient face mask can visibly tighten AND brighten skin in minutes. And it’s so easy to throw together. Here’s what you’ll need to make Elaine’s DIY Champagne Face Mask: - ¼ cup champagne or sparkling wine - ½ cup powdered clay (You can find Bentonite mix online or in drug stores for about $10) - 2 Tbsp plain greek yogurt (probiotics in yogurt boost skin elasticity to reduce the look of wrinkles, while its creamy texture locks-in moisture) For an extra luxurious experience, I recommend adding a few drops of orange essential oil to the mix. This added boost of antioxidants can make your skin look even more luminous.4 Not to mention — it makes the mask smell just like a mimosa. (If you’ve never used essential oils on your skin, I always recommend doing a patch test first — just to be safe.) Now to make your mask, simply combine the ingredients in a small bowl. Then, use your fingertips to apply the mixture to your face and neck. Once the mask dries (about 20 minutes), rinse it off with lukewarm water. Next, follow up with your favorite serums, oils, and moisturizer to keep your skin feeling fresh and hydrated. And voila! When you're done, your skin should look instantly more radiant. Who knew such an immediate confidence boost could come from a few grapes? Now a quick reminder here — alcohol can dry out the skin if used too often. So, I recommend using this mask no more than once a week. Any champagne will work for this recipe — and if you prefer not to have alcohol in the house, you can also opt for sparkling grape juice. So break out the bubbly… Because beautiful skin is cause for celebration. Santé! Your Beverly Hills MD, Dr. John Layke P.S. I was extra excited to tell you about Paris because it was Kendhal and I’s FIRST solo trip in 3 years! It was amazing to make new memories in a city that means so much to us. And at the end of the day… I believe sharing special experiences with loved ones is what makes life so sweet. So I’d love to know if you have any upcoming trips you’re excited for… Or maybe even a cool vacation memory you’d like to share. Simply hit ‘reply’ and fire away. Major bonus points for including a fun travel photo! I can’t wait to see them. :)  //links.beverlyhills-md.com/a/141/click/9850427/742234759/_f6aefd14dbab967270a4db976d0f2967892d5235/75eacdc3c8408daa8b215d211eb1efe66deb2d13 Sources 1.
