Can a simple SPOON really help “elevate” the look of your skin? Let's find out Got a spoon

Can a simple SPOON really help “elevate” the look of your skin? Let's find out Got a spoon handy, {NAME}? If so, I recommend grabbing it. Because strange as it sounds — a simple SPOON can help give your skin a temporary ‘face-lift’ effect… And I’m going to show you how to do it right now! It’s called a ‘Spoon Facial Massage’... And it’s based on an ancient Chinese practice called Gua Sha. Gua sha is a massage technique that involves using firm, upward strokes to gently release tension and help drain facial fluids… And the results can be pretty awesome! Skin often looks temporarily tighter after the very first round… “Puffy” areas (especially under the eyes) tend to “deflate”... And because this technique helps bring fresh oxygen to the surface — it can also help your complexion look brighter! Now, Gua Sha is traditionally performed using a smooth, shiny stone — such as jade or quartz. However, what most people don’t know is that a spoon can work JUST as well. So today, I’m going to walk you through my 3-minute Spoon Facial Massage. All you need is a facial oil of your choice… And of course, a spoon! Here’s how it’s done:  - Start off with a clean, dry face — and then apply your favorite facial oil. (Opt for a little more than usual, so that you can move the spoon along your skin without any friction.) - Place the rounded side of the spoon on your chin, and in a gentle yet firm motion, sweep the spoon up along your jawline towards your ear. Repeat this 5-10 times before moving onto the other side. - Next, move the spoon up to the outer corner of your nose. Then, in a U-shape, sweep the spoon up under your cheekbone towards your ear. Repeat this 5 times before moving onto the other side. - Lastly, place the backside of the spoon in between your eyebrows, and sweep up towards your hairline in vertical strokes. Repeat this motion 10 times across your entire forehead. TIP FOR BEGINNERS: Before using your spoon, practice these sweeping motions using the knuckle of your index finger. This way, you can really ‘perfect’ your technique. The whole ‘routine’ should take no longer than 3 minutes, {NAME}… But remember: It’s not a race. Go as slow as you need! This way, you can really focus on making each movement as smooth and fluid as possible — which is key for the most noticeable results. (Oh, and feel free to reposition the spoon when needed AND adjust the pressure based on your skin’s preference. This is supposed to be a relaxing massage, after all!) Like I said, you might notice your skin looks more ‘taut’ as soon as your first round… But practice makes perfect, and the more you do it, the better your results can be. So give it a go for the next week or and let me know what differences you’re seeing. Maybe your skin looks a little firmer… perhaps your complexion looks more vibrant… Or maybe, you just love how relaxed the entire process leaves you feeling. Whatever you start to notice — I can’t wait to hear all about it! Your Beverly Hills MD, Dr. Payman Danielpour P.S. By the way, I actually don’t recommend using our Bright + Tighten Restorative Facial Oil for this, because remember: It’s NOT a traditional facial oil… but rather, an intensive age-fighting lipid treatment that absorbs into the skin very quickly. (That’s part of what makes it such a powerful tool for visibly lifting saggy skin and brightening a dull-looking complexion.) But it’s not going to create that slick oily surface the spoon needs to glide… So, save [Brighten + Tighten]( for your skincare regimen and use a basic jojoba or avocado for your gua sha (then just wipe it off after you're done!). P.P.S. You can either use a metal or ceramic spoon for this technique. Both work equally as well. Although ceramic spoons do tend to have a more rounded edge… so if you’re looking for a more gentle massage, I would consider going the ceramic route. Oh, and one last tip: Leave your spoon in the FRIDGE before you try this out. If you ask me — the cooling sensation really takes this facial massage over the edge. :)      This email was sent to {EMAIL} by jlayke@beverlyhills-md.com Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery Group 436 N.
