Pop quiz, {NAME}: How can you tell if you have dry skin? Most people will say dry skin is itchy, flakey, or feels tight... But unfortunately — that’s not always the case. You see, in skincare, the term “dry” doesn’t refer to a lack of moisture... It means your skin lacks OIL. And yes, sometimes that goes hand-in-hand with itching and flakiness. But the truth is, if you’re over 40, the most common symptoms of “dry” skin are actually: - Wrinkles and crow’s feet - Dark spots - Slacking skin - And a dull, dreary complexion Why? Because your skin’s natural oil supply — also known as its lipid barrier — plays a vital role in your appearance. For one, it helps protect skin from environmental damage (a leading cause of visible aging). And secondly — it helps keep your skin plump, supple, and hydrated, by locking in moisture. But as we get OLDER, our skin’s oil barrier gradually dries up. Which can lead to problems like dark spots, discoloration, and slacking. As well as symptoms of dehydration — like thinning, wrinkles, crepey-ness, and loss of radiance. But before you go to slather your face with MORE moisturizer — let me be clear. While a good moisturizer is essential to any skincare regimen… When it comes to DRYNESS — even the best moisturizers and hydrating serums won’t help. (In fact, if your skin doesn’t have enough oils, it won’t even be able to retain them!) So what can you do to combat dryness as you get older? Well, some people try to “lube up” their skin with argan oil or one of those designer facial oils you see in stores. But unfortunately, these products won’t actually rebuild your skin’s lipid barrier once it breaks down. So if you’re over 40, you probably won’t see much difference with a store-bought facial oil — no matter how expensive it is. (At best, it’ll just leave your skin’s surface feeling temporarily greasy… and not much else.) My advice? Just apply a small amount of [Brighten + Tighten]( to your face and neck twice daily. It’s an advanced-potency RESTORATIVE facial oil we developed at our clinic — that’s formulated to make your skin’s oil matrix match that of a healthy 22 year-old. So not only does it combat dryness like nothing else… our clients say it literally takes YEARS off their appearance. (Seriously, you can [read the reviews]( for yourself — they’re NOT the kind of results people normally get from a facial oil!) Just smooth it on before your moisturizer… and your skin may appear younger, smoother, and more luminous almost instantly. And after about 1-2 weeks, most users start seeing a visible improvement of wrinkles, dark spots, and skin texture too. (Yep, it’s that powerful!) Just remember to avoid abrasive heavy-grained facial scrubs, as they can strip all those age-fighting oils right off your skin. And make sure to still include plenty of healthy fats — like fish, nuts, and olive oil — in your diet. (Because even if you use a lipid-building formula like Brighten + Tighten, these foods are still very important to your health!) Easy, right? So keep these dryness-busting tips in mind — and you’ll likely see a DRASTIC difference in your skin very quickly. And feel free to share this information with your friends as well. After all, “dryness” is one of the most commonly misinterpreted terms in skincare... So I bet many of them will be surprised to learn they actually have dry skin TOO!
