Case in point: When three members of the state legislature protested against this issue in Tennessee, they were all immediately up for expulsion by their GOP colleagues and two—the two Black members—were removed. Once again, the GOP is choosing the gun lobby over everyone else. [Look, people are rightly fed up with the constant stress of gun violence. That’s why we need to take action.
