Let me tell you a story. Back in the 90’s a comicbook artist named Simon Bisely was interviewed by Wizard Magazine about the late comicbook artist Jack Kirby. Kirby is the comicbook artist practically every successful comicbook artist learned from, mimicked, and even traced. (Tracing his art was part of Marvel’s process of training new artists back in the day.) He was an incredible storyteller using his artwork — which was bold, dynamic, and practically leapt off the page. Hollywood storyboard artists still study Kirby’s work, if that tells you something. He was sort of like the “Johnny Carson” of comicbook artists. To this day all the late night hosts can’t figure out exactly how Carson did what he did. So it is with comicbook artists when it comes to Jack Kirby. And Simon Bisely used the following word to describe Kirby’s art: “Power” As he put it: “Kirby would lay the strokes down, these big black strokes. Let’s say you’ve got a leg running forward and a leg running back — these modern artists would draw a leg and they’d draw every sinew, every muscle, and every piece of gristle. Kirby would just do it as a big block, and a big black line, and some shadowing. That was actually more powerful, and stronger. These days, people have to draw it and all but tell you, ‘Look, this guy is real strong, because his leg is muscular,’ or ‘His arm is muscular,’ while Kirby could do it with just a few strokes.” This idea of power with minimalism is very potent. Not just for artwork and your business’ design but also for your writing, too. Which brings me to the punch line: 1. My book “Markauteur” that is on sale this weekend goes into great detail about this subject and how it can relate to the visual & design-side of your business & marketing. 2. Even though the book is not about “copywriting”, I also show you a real life example of how I applied this concept to the story told in one of the most successful sales letters I’ve ever penned — as well as how I even shamelessly retconned one of my novels to integrate this concept into it to make it a lot better. Finally: This is easily my most expensive book. And it is mostly intended for a very specific, and savvy slice of my horde who already understand (I am not going to bother trying to “sell” anyone on the idea) how the design & visual-side of a business can have an enormous impact on sales-generation, world-building, relationship-growth, & brand-expansion in ways mere “copywriting” or other marketing tools can’t even begin to approach. But to take some of the sting out of the price it’s on sale until tomorrow. To get the full details do this: 1. Read every single word at the URL below to make an informed purchase 2. Buy it before tomorrow, Sunday 11/19 at midnight EST to get it at the discount. 3. Use code POMPOUS at the checkout (Make sure you see the price change before entering your info) Here’s the link: [https∶//www.EmailPlayers.com/design]( Ben Settle This email was sent by Ben Settle as owner of Settle, LLC.
