I donât know how many people reading this will care. But Iâve always been a huge fan of Robert Kiyosakiâs investment advice. And over the past few years, I finally started to get off my gluteus assimus and begin implementing some of his ideas. Specifically, his advice on investing in the 4 main asset classes: Real estate, business, paper assets, and commodities. Plus, as a 5th and 6th âclassâ, I also dabble in crypto and believe in investing in my communityâs people & future. But, before I show you anything, a caveat: Nothing I write here is investment advice. Frankly, youâd be an idiot to take any kind of investment advice from me. But, since there has been a handful of people over the last few years who have asked, and are curious, hereâs some of what I am doing with these asset classes currently. (If I leave out specifics, that is done deliberately for privacy, etc). All right here goes â Real Estate: This may better-qualify as sort of a hybrid real estate/business. Hardly makes me any kind of serious real estate investor. And as my pal Trevor Mauch said when introducing me to some folks in the real estate investing niche at a mastermind: âThe only real estate experience Ben has is heâs bought a house.â He ain't wrong. But at the same time, I met a fellow via that mastermind who invests in gentrifying (my description, not his...) some of his cityâs areas via fix & flip and rehab projects. And by investing with them, I get passive income each month without the hassle of managing real estate. Business #1: First is publishing my books (fiction and nonfiction), Email Players newsletter & related book offers, and other multi-media projects. This is my primary gig, for obvious reasons. Businesses #2: I also invest in my own software platforms â Learnistic and BerserkerMail, plus our Profit Pirates coaching program, with our ContraCart and ScuttleCast software tools still being cooked up in the kitchen. Plus there is our SocialLair platform, which we are augmenting with new bells & whistles for its 2.0 release. Paper: Nothing earth-shaking. Mostly just some investments in various mining and some other companies who I am a heavy customer of myself â including various investments in an app I use. Commodities: As for commodities⦠I am a big fan of precious metals. Particularly silver & lead (ammo). Both of which I believe are extremely important â the former as a way to protect what wealth (big or small) you have now. The latter as a way to protect your life and your familyâs lives â which should be everyoneâs most valuable assets, the way I see it. Unless of course you think the police exist to prevent crimes from happening or will magically beam in, Star Trek style, if an armed violent criminal attacks you or your family as you all hide under the bed. If thatâs the case, Daddy has some swamp land for you to invest in⦠Crypto: I simply take the gains from my real estate and invest it directly into Bitcoin each month and put very little thought into it. Community: Then thereâs community. Whether investing in it financially and/or with your time/energy/labor â it is an intangible investment that probably wonât make you ârichâ, but it can enrich your life, your familyâs life, and the lives of those you are surrounded by. All of which can only benefit you. What I donate (always via money, Iâm a funding kinda guy, not a "boots on the ground" volunteer kinda guy) to depends on the time and situation. But I always do at least some of it at the local level, to benefit my town and/or county. Iâll talk more about my âdonation portfolioâ later ifân that interests you. The pronouns-in-their-bio harpies'll probably be none too happy with my choices. But really, nobody cares what they think anyway. Okay, I was wrong. Community wasnât the last one. My most recent investment adventure is trading Options. But I donât do it myself at all. I do it completely passively, via my business partner in the software companies I mentioned Troy Broussard. I am definitely not a âtrading guyâ but he certainly is. And he not only invests some of our software profits into trading (Options, specifically) using a clever way of doing it he figured out, but he helps a whole lot of other folks (including some of my best customers) too, and from what I hear tell a lot of them are truly loving every minute of it. If you are: (1) interested in learning more about his Options coaching and⦠(2) getting an extremely valuable bonus via buying it with my affiliate link below by Friday 10/13 at midnight EDT Like I said, I donât âdoâ options myself at this time. But as sure as God made little green apples I am benefiting from it via Troyâs methods investing revenue from our software companies into Options that is partly based both on his experience as both a marketing automation guy (he has a mind for that sort of thing) and as a former Navy Nuclear Engineer who understands systems.
