A while ago: I saw a meme with Walter White & Jesse Pinkman from the show Breaking Bad cooking up some meth in their motorhome â looking all intently at some test tubes, and doing their thing. The meme was making fun of all the bought-and-paid for âscientistsâ who were pushing the fake vax, walking into restaurants with mask on but virus suddenly abating when sitting at the table, politicians not needing to wear them during photo-ops with kids who did have to wear them, etc. i.e., All the stupid shyt people bought in to but are now pretending they didn't. It was quite the amusing meme. It reminded me of all the âopen rates!â email guys out there. The ones bragging about split testing opens thinking theyâre doing sCiEnCE! when I have yet to talk to a single for real scientist (got many such on my list â computer scientists, engineers, my biz partner in software Troy Broussard, etc) who also does marketing who takes any of these open rates guys bragging on social media seriously. But that is an email for another time. I want to talk about something else it reminded me of: The power of combining a tactician with a strategist. Walter White was both. But his relationship with Jesse allowed him to shine more as a strategist. And in real life you can see this dynamic play out more practically. Like, for example: * Steve Jobs (strategist) & Steve Wozniak (tactician) * Charles Atlas (tactician) & Charles Roman (strategist) (they are the guys behind the infamous âHow an Insult Made a Man Out of Macâ comic strip ad) * Johnny Carson (tactician) & Henry Bushkin (Carson's lawyer â strategist). Iâve done extensive research on the above duos. And I can tell you without any exaggeration that left on their own, by themselves, Wozniak, Carson, and Atlas would not have made it very far at all. All brilliant tacticians. But without the strategist in their corner, theyâd have barely scraped by and probably nobody would know who they are anymore. But with their strategist counter parts? Lots of money, fame, prestige. Carson, for example, was only doing the equivalent of $6k a month ($46k in todayâs money) in 1970 before Bushkin came in and started strategizing Carsonâs career. Because of that Carson died was worth a half billion in 2005 when he kicked the bucket. That ainât from talent alone. Thatâs from a strategist amplifying that talent. Same with Jobs & Wozniak. Woz wanted to give Apple Computers away for free. Imagine how differently that would have turned out without Jobs⦠And probably nobody would know about the world famous Charles Atlas courses and brand if Charles Roman (an ad man who took an early interest in Atlasâ business) hadnât stepped in to strategize some extremely brilliant ad (and publicity) campaigns that are well worthy studying by anyone in the business of marketing or copywriting. Anyway, hopefully the message is clear: When a strategist & a tactician team up, 2 + 2 doesn't just equal 4. It can equal 40, 400, 40000, 40,000, 4,000,000, or, in Carson's case, $400+ billion. Which brings me to the June Email Players issue. Itâs short on tactics but long on strategy. Specifically: Strategies for business, marketing, and success (personal and professional) I learned and/or worked out over the 15 years of owning my late dog Zoe and in the spirit of âThe Zoe Tapesâ â which were easily some of the most valuable training videos I ever created. The June issue is basically the âLastâ Zoe Tape. And it contains what I believe are some of the most valuable, powerful, and long-term successful strategies I can possible teach at this time. In my (totally biased, but no less true) opinion: Those who possess & read the June issue will have many advantages. Certainly the info has done that for me over the years. And in many ways, the timing could not be better. Especially with the crap storm happening with the economy. The deadline to subscribe in time for this issue is almost upon you.
