Why the virgin at the top of the mountain is more valuable than the garden tool at the bottom

Once upon a time, I quoted this “Email Players” rule on my old podcast: “It’s better to be the Bytch at the top of the mountain than the ho at the bottom” And, I still stand by that philosophy. One of my favorite examples was the late copywriter Bill Jayme. Not only was he probably the highest paid copywriter of his day, he was (literally) the guru at the top of the mountain. I mean, this guy lived on top of a hill in California wine country and he made his clients and would-be clients who wanted to hire him travel up the mountain to come see him. One of his clients even said: “We went like pilgrims to the guru. We had to go up the mountain to see them.” And yet, Jayme was not out there doing talks. Or selling courses. Or writing books, haunting Facebook, doing Twitter threads, or any of that. The only marketing tool I think he used was the phone or the front door. And both only sounded with people coming to him. Another example: Warren Buffet. He never has to go find deals. Deals come to him. And not only that… but the best deals, with the most favorable terms to him, with people even willing to lose money on bringing deals to him just to have the prestige of doing a deal with Buffet routinely happening. i.e., people travel up the mountain to see him, and he’s not easily accessible. Another example: Dan Kennedy. He has done something very specific for years to get the best copywriting clients coming to him (paying him upwards of $19k to travel to his house in friggin’ Ohio, at their own expense, for the privilege of him selling him his copywriting services for $100k or more). And when they hire him they not only shower him with money but there is little resistance (if any) to what he writes and tells the clients to do… which only saves him more time (a lot of copywriters spend almost as much time selling the client on running their ads than writing the ads…) and so it goes. I’ve experienced this in my own business as well. I’ve co-hosted events where people came just to meet me. They may or may not have even cared about what was going to be taught. My favorite example is when Email Players subscriber Russell Brunson attended our second Oceans Four mastermind (I used to do with Ryan Levesque, Jack Born, and Andre Chaperon) because he wanted to meet and hang out with me (while I was equally excited to hang out and talk with him, I remember). I also tend to get great deals and offers come to me. And rarely do I seek them out. But even then: I have noticed people will bend over backwards to make the deal happen on their end, with very little poking, prodding, or nagging on my part, where they are eager to do business together. And if they do make it even a tinge of a PITA I bail and find someone who isn’t an idiot to do business with. Plenty to choose from. That is, if you have built this kind of presence in your market. Anyway, there’s power in being “Pai Mei” at the top of the mountain, who is inherently more novel & valuable just by his positioning and novelty - not unlike how the hot virgin trapped in a tower guarded by a dragon is inherently more novel & valuable than the sore-addled town prostitute plagued with syphilis haunting the arch ways day and night. You get more money as Pai Mei, yes. But you also get more compliance. More opportunity. And more prestige, status, and higher market place ranking. All of which can create what can seem like miracles to your bottom line. Especially over time. If this is a power you want to possess and use then I highly suggest (1) getting Dan Kennedy’s 7-Figure Academy course and (2) rapidly & aggressively implementing as much of it in your business as you can, as fast as you can, and keep doing so for the rest of your days. I can’t make you any promises. But I’ve been doing just that for almost 6 years now. And the more I do it, the more this phenomenon happens in my own business. (And this is with me doing zero public speaking and traveling the last 4 years, I will note.) If you want in, and at a discount just for my boys & ghouls, here’s what to do: 1. Buy the course with my affiliate link below by Friday, March 10 at midnight EST. 2. Forward me your receipt by that deadline (you must send it BY the deadline to get it) You’ll get immediate access to the course, and I’ll send you the nearly 2 hour bonus about how I’ve been using the info for almost 6 years now to not only go from six to seven figures, but how I still use the info in my business ventures today. NOTE: you’ll need a smart phone to access the bonus. No exceptions. All right, here’s the link: [https∶//www.EmailPlayers.com/se7en]( Ben Settle P.S. This course is not intended for newbies, amateurs, or goo-roo fanboys playing business on social media all day. Nothing I sell is. But that goes triple for this course. It’s not called “4-Figure Academy”, “5-Figure Academy”, or even “6-Figure Academy.” It’s called “7-Figure Academy” for a reason. It requires a lot of deep thinking, introspection, & hard work to implement. It’s short on checklists or tactics. And is long on strategies and big ideas. There’s a reason why Dan Kennedy is called The Millionaire Maker. And this course illustrates that reason as well as anything I’ve ever seen. Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
