I was recently listening to a podcast about a topic of great interest to me. Nothing business-related. Just a passion niche. And, at the end, the podcaster spent â no exaggeration â several minutes (or felt like several minutes, at least) listing off all the other ways to find his podcast and content. i.e., YouTube, Stitcher, SoundCloud, iTunes, mobile app, Facebook, Twitter, his website, one of his other websites, and about 8 or 9 other places. None of which, I will add, were telling them to get on his email list. I noticed him doing this on all his podcast episodes. The time spent rattling off the other platforms is not all that big of a deal. But what is a big deal is the loss of attention/engagement/and action-taking as a result. If I knew the guy (I donât) and if he asked (so he hasnât), Iâd tell him this: 1. Do away with that cumbersome ending 2. Have one call to action, and one call to action only (i.e., âsell only one thing at a timeâ) 3. For no other reason than, if they are listening via whatever their favorite app is they are listening to him on (the norm for most people), there is no reason to tell them to go listen on yet another app. There is literally no point in it. 4. Plug an opt-in page instead. 5. Give them a ton of cool stuff (with legitimate retail value â ebooks, courses, whatever) if they opt-in. 6. Once opted in to a list, he can include a list of all the places to find him 7. Until then heâs his own worst enemy 8. And itâs too bad 9. Itâs also the norm for most marketers these days â sending leads to platforms they do not control, cannot capture leads & build a list they own, and export it on the regular 10. Enter Learnistic Our mobile app for businesses on tight budgets lets you: * Hook it up to your email so you can capture their email and get on your app * Stream all your content through a platform where you can collect the email address and export it, so you own your data no matter what happens * Frictionlessly sell either via your own merchant account or using the App stores * Own your data, list, etc * Have far more prestige than your website-only competition (âsee my mobile appâ is 100x more prestigious and cool than âgo to my websiteâ or, God forbid, âlike my Facebook pageâ) * Build your own world with your own rules, laws, culture, etc * Let your leads and customers consume your content without the usual ads & distractions * Make it significantly harder and more of a pain in the ass for pirates and thieves to steal, redistribute your content (i.e., much less likely to do a launch and see your content already posted in the pirate sites 5 minutes later) * Not to mention you can revoke access to anyone who refunds, and they wonât be able to just download and keep your content * And do it all on their phones â where vast majority already spend all their time (they donât drag their laptops to the gym, the car, the bathroom, the shower, etc â but they do take their phones there..) And the list goes on. Way too many benefits of using mobile tech â especially now â than I can list. Thatâs why even the founding father of online advertising (according to Time Magazine) says: âThis thing is pure genius and game changing.â For more on this, see this page: [httpsâ¶//www.EmailPlayers.com/learnistic]( Ben Settle P.S.
