Email Players subscriber Riley Holland shows how it’s done: === Hi Ben, I just wanted to express some appreciation for a couple things: First, Brand Barbarian - Just recently I reread it, took a bunch of notes, and almost without even realizing what was happening, those notes spawned a new lead magnet. Now I feel much more confident that the core of my brand is represented really strongly on that first conversion (not to mention how I'll be able to work backward to create more powerful list building content). Second, I've been putting together my first affiliate program, and asking you some questions as an EP subscriber has been extremely helpful, even though you haven't had an affiliate program of your own, and as you said, aren't the "affiliate guy." But based on the overall principles I've learned from your various books and EPs, I was able to put the pieces together. A pitch email elaborated from the podcast pitch template in list swell, a pitch page for the program based partially on copy slacker (but adapted to the specific needs of the affiliate program), etc. Essentially, your focus on the most foundational elements - which is what attracted me to your teachings in the first place - allowed me to apply those elements to an approach you don't teach directly, and answer the specific contextual questions based on those more universal principles. Without those foundations I probably would've flailed around and then abandoned the approach. But now I'm beginning to get some traction with the affiliate approach (just the beginning), which is renewing my commitment and enthusiasm for it. And also as I onboard affiliates into Learnistic to give them the product, they also get my new lead mag - which makes me confident they're getting the full exposure to what my whole brand is really all about. That's a lot, but I just think that point about the fundamentals is just so cool and so important that I felt the need to express it. Feel free to use any of that for anything if you like. === Riley brings up something I don’t talk a lot about but should: Email access to me with your questions as a paying Email Players subscriber. I don’t do critiques or quick looks or whatever. But I do answer questions I'm qualified to talk about. And those who take advantage of it tend to appreciate it quite a bit... The deadline to subscribe to Email Players is today. You only have a little time left, Pokey. Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
