One of the formative experiences of my entire business career was in an old, obscure story the great Dan Kennedy did about a wildly successful plumber. A plumber who got all the customers he could handle. Could charge far more than any other plumber probably could. And even though Dan was talking about direct mail lists, the lesson behind the story has been one of the single greatest email list building methods I’ve ever used, and continue to use, and will continue to use for many years into the future. Plus, it’s free to use, too. (Unlike the direct mail version of it.) Also, I have found it can sometimes let me connect a pipe — so to speak — to the faucets of paid traffic platforms and, in a completely roundabout sort of way, potentially drain some of the best leads from those sites onto my own list in many cases, and in a way that is much simpler than it sounds. My “Email Players List Swell” book talks about this. No, there is nothing at all "new" about anything inside. But, I believe the way I've methodized list-building can help almost any business — new or old — start to build a responsive email list fairly quickly. Maybe not a big list, and certainly not as big as paid advertising can probably get your business. But, I'll take the Pepsi Challenge using this against paid ad lead quality any day. Here’s the deal: Until Friday 2/17 at midnight EST it’s discounted $150.00 off the listed price. To get this discount while you can, do this: 1. Go to the URL below 2. Use code THICK-LIST at the checkout 3. Make sure you see the price change before entering your info Here’s the link: [https∶//www.EmailPlayers.com/list]( Ben Settle This email was sent by Ben Settle as owner of Settle, LLC. Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
