Email Players subscriber “Robert” (his pen name) re-Settles: === Here's my story and a thank you: After my messy divorce a while ago (Yeah, should have known better), I now finally moved to the country side (foreseeing the blackout shit due to our superb german government shutting down power plants after Fukushima) and am finally fully self employed. Keeping pushing forward in getting through this divorce and in becoming fully self employed even in this lockdown mess has to do with you as well. I admit, I only partially use your copywriting insights at the moment (sparely I do), but I use your attitude that comes through in your writing to push forward. So together with the memory of my dad and my belief in God (a mere Christian, to use C.S. Lewis titel, a Catholic as well), you - or better, your writings, and therefore you - have been a positive influence. So, the next 1-2 years, will be me, getting away from done-for-you work and freelancing (there is always enough work in the IT consulting space, but it still requires unique work for every client) to more remote work and maybe some coaching, and I will definitely look at your older stuff, reread some of those things and push myself further. As long as you publish this newsletter I will stay a subscriber for my monthly dose of "slapping" back to reality, especially during those "woke" times (where I now could rant about AMZ totally fucking up Tolkiens catholic masterpiece LOTR and making some wish-wash-woke shit out of it, but I will not go there). I hope you and your family are well and wish you all the best and I hope to read from you more cool stuff in the future. (You can use this quote, considering that I am living in Wokistan, please refrain from using my name, or just call me Robert, which will be then pen name of a new project I am working on, and also this name is more generic in Germany) === In some ways the December Email Players issue is written “to” guys like Robert. Maybe not him specifically. But those stuck in the middle of clown world, where businesses can get shut down with the mask-muffled voice of an overachieving bureaucrat fresh off his third bout with the coof while rubbing a sore arm with more holes in it from getting endless boosters than a heroin addict. A true “shyt hits the fan” kind of environment. Or at least a potential one. Which brings me to the December Email Players issue. The entire issue is very fundamental-based (nothing sexy or exciting — let the goo-roo fanboy take not) showing the exact, “beat for beat”, business plan I will use if shyt hits the fan and I have to start over from scratch, in a different market, having to figure out who to sell to, what to sell them, how to reach them, etc. It is also a way an existing business venture can “stack” a whole different wing on to their current operation, to add more security for these dark economic times descending upon us. I talk about the exact market I’d target, what exactly I’d sell to them, where I’d research and find email and marketing ideas for that market, how I’d get them on my list, the buying sequence I’d most likely use, and my entire thought process from A-to-Zygotically — all laid out, naked, with everything dangling in the wind. A proverbial entire business plan in an issue. Technically someone could even “lift” it as-is. But I would not recommend that unless you shared the exact same interests as me. What’s better is to take, adapt, and use it for your interests and passions. Today’s the deadline to subscribe if you want in. Hurry.
