A couple months ago Chris Hadad interviewed me for his podcast, and somehow we got to talking about what happens to a copywriter when society breaks down and SHTF? His response: “I’d have to become a cult leader to survive” Certainly something to ponder… It also got me to thinking about certain investments those in the copywriting & marketing world — who lack any truly practical skills like carpentry, hunting, fishing, building things, etc — can make to “hedge” their chances of survival when SHTF. Which then got me to thinking about certain precious metals. I am not referring here to gold or silver or copper. Yes, they are great for protecting wealth during withering inflation. But, they won’t save your life when SHTF. That job goes to the most “holy of holies” metals: Lead. i.e., ammo. It’s also one of those things where, even if you think firearms are the devil incarnate and that cops and snipers'll magically beam into a violent situation like Star Trek to protect your family from some drooling rapist twice your size, hopped up on drugs that make him impervious to pain, and lunging for your wife and kids… ammo could be a great investment. How? Because I suspect there will be no shortage of people who do arm themselves who'll be more than happy to buy or trade food/supplies with you to get it — assuming they don’t just seize it from you, since you didn’t arm yourself too… — should the world go temporarily “Mad Max” on your arse.. But, the lights are still on for many of us. The indoor plumbing still works for now. The power grid could be iffy depending on where you are. And Creepy Joe & his puppet masters have not yet got us into nuclear war just yet. Although I figure one or two more voting cycles ought to do the trick. In the meantime: A more recent venture I’m invested in does require power… crypto. No, I don’t personally trade it. Nor am I any kind of “expert” at it one way or the other. Frankly, I don’t even currently have access to a crypto wallet. I am simply a willing participant in my business partner in the wonderful world of software Troy Broussard and his newest venture where he figured out a clever way to automate trading crypto currency in a safe way using his knowledge of systems (from his experience as a Navy Nuclear Engineer, enterprise-class software developer, & API-level marketing automation specialist). And I am a participant in two ways: 1. He uses his methods to invest some of our software profits into crypto, so I benefit that way 2. He will be using me as a “case study” for his coaching students using his methods If you want more info on his coaching with this, and get in at a fat discount should you want to join it, use my affiliate link below by tomorrow, Friday 11/11 at midnight EST.
