Email Players subscriber & magician Benji Wilkins spanks the naysayers: === Hey Ben, Sorry for the disgustingly late reply, moved countries, work stuff, more boring excuses, etc. Here are the highlights of everything you've helped us with over the past year: We started our company about a year and a half ago at ages 20 and 19. (me and my cousin) All we had was a blog about magic (that's the niche we're in) and a small 400-person list we'd built as a side hustle with the sole aim of affiliate marketing (we didn't know much...) We found your stuff really early on and pretty much made it the bible for everything we've done so far. Despite starting with NO funding and very little savings, we always somehow found the money to pay for your newsletter, because it's the most valuable information we've ever got our hands-on. We've pretty much read one of your newsletters, emails, or books every single day for the past year or so and they always helped keep us inspired despite the grind of setting up a new company. We had such a small list, but we knew we had to start daily emails - so we just had this attitude that even if nobody was reading them, we were gonna send them every single day on principle. We still remember the day we made our first like $0.40, it was such a buzz lol. One of the biggest tips we picked off you was 'list swinging' in combination with cold emails (to reach out to potentials.) We were shocked by the fact you never use paid ads and loved the idea of building our list with no upfront cost and filling it with hot leads. (plus we had no money so... This was all we could do!) We reached out to one of the biggest names in the magic niche and somehow got him to come on a podcast with like 50 listeners, from there he agreed to send out our hastily built lead magnet if we sent out his. Pretty much nobody in the magic niche has ANY concept of email or online marketing so we're really pioneers there - which has helped A LOT! Our list went from around 800 to 2,500 overnight, it was crazy and we spent most of the money we had saved on upgrading our list capacity. Long story short, from there we built our own products, a membership (which you were instrumental in helping us build as you gave some great advice not only in your books but when we reached out), continued to do list swaps, built a network of affiliates, etc. But the biggest key to our success has been daily emails - and most of all the style that we write them in, everything always comes back to our email list. Honestly, just so grateful for everything you write and produce - you're a real hero for us! From no entrepreneurial knowledge, no degrees, and working construction at ages 19 and 20 to making 7-10k a month comfortably, and hopefully we can only go up from here! Anyhow, don't know if you'll have the time to read all this, but keep doing what you're doing man! So much respect for everything you do! === Certainly not the typical subscriber or results. But shows what's potentially possible for businesses who take the material seriously. Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
