Here's some lovin' for content & course creators: A while back, Yours Crotchety wrote an email about a common âthemeâ that runs through the lives of those who have made exceptional incomes as content creators of all shapes, sizes, and stripes. And it revealed the only two things you really have to do to make all the green stuff your greedy heart desires as a content creator: 1. Create more content than you do now 2. Create that content faster than you do now Notice, I did not say anything about talent. Or decades of building your skills. Or, having to be the best at creating content, having to sell the best product, telling the best stories, having the best technique, using the best equipment, possessing the best writing ability, projecting the best voice, accessing the best software, or relying on the âbestâ anything else. Take the late comicbook writer & creator Stan Lee, for example. In his book âExcelsior!â he writes: âAnytime we needed extra money, I could always write more scripts. If Joanie wanted to buy a new wardrobe or I wanted to get a new TV or the latest camera equipment, Iâd say, âWell, Iâll write a couple of extra stories and thatâll take care of it.â I guess thatâs one of the reasons I wrote so much. I could buy almost anything I wanted because I could pay by writing storiesâ¦â i.e., the more content he created and the faster he created it, the more he made. And bear in mind: At that time, he was writing nonsensical characters he was embarrassed by and stories his boss made him write â hardly âgreat content!â â based on his boss following trends and underestimating his audience's intelligence â which Stan did not at all enjoy doing, being forced to write dumbed-down stories about dumbed-down characters. I heard the great Dan Kennedy tell a somewhat similar story. But, in his case, it was about copywriting, specifically, he explained in his magnificent â7 Figures Academyâ course. He talked about being the highest paid copywriter probably on the planet. And he did so by being the fastest copywriter, not necessarily the âbestâ copywriter. Since he can write more sales copy, faster, than any other copywriter in his league⦠he can complete more assignments per year, which equals both more upfront fees per year and more royalties concurrently pouring in per year, all presumably compounding on themselves. Again, without necessarily being the âbest.â Or the most âtalented.â Or, even selling the highest quality products and services. (There is always a better mousetrapâ¦) Anyway, the good news is, this is very, very simple: Create more content faster = make more income faster. Which brings me to the goose: You can apply this âformulaâ to any kind of content your business uses, I have found â emails, social media posts, books (non-fiction or fiction), courses, videos, podcasts, articles, blog posts, newsletters, membership site content, premiums & bonuses, and the list yammers on⦠The more content you create, the more you can sell. The more you sell, the more your business makes. The more your business makes, the fatter your righteous piggy bank grows and the louder it squeals in delight. Do it right, and that squealing piggy bank gets downright obese. Now, letâs move on to something else related to this: I once got this email from a reader of my emails: === Hi Ben, contacting you from Portugal. Do you have any course that teaches how to create and sell info products? If not, any recommendation? === My answer to him right after: Yes indeed. And I pointed him to the great Danny Iny. Danny is one of just two people on the planet I tell people to go to when it comes to creating online courses. Iâve seen him âin actionâ with online courses. In fact, a few Christmasâ ago, he hopped on a plane from Canada and flew all the way to Tucson, AZ where I was staying with my dad that week⦠hired a local camera crew, and interviewed me in my dadâs living room for about 90-minutes for one of his own courses. Then he Ubered out of there to catch a plane that same night. If that ainât dedication to content and course creation, I donât know what is. More: This is just one of the many reasons I greatly admire how he approaches the subject. So much so that, Iâve been helping him with his latest course creator launch. I am not technically an affiliate (I get paid no commissions if anyone buys it, and just did it as a favor for Danny â as we like to help each othersâ businesses out, quid pro quo style). Anyway, to the point: Since the question about courses came up, and since I am talking about content today anyway, I am telling my list about it again. Heâs doing a webinar on the subject tomorrow (Tuesday 5/10) at 1:00 EDT. Danny is one of those âgive âem as much info as he canâ kinda guy. i.e., the exact opposite of me. I say that so you donât think, âoh, a free call, you mean disguised sales pitch?â Yes thereâs something for sale. Duh. Heâs not a charity. But he also gives a helluva lot of free and valuable info away. Especially about this business of what he calls "Hybrid Courses" which is pretty interesting to say the least. So if building courses is your bag, I highly recommend being there tomorrow: [httpsâ¶//www.EmailPlayers.com/course]( NOTE: This is an affiliate link so Danny's team can track it. I donât get paid a dime whether you attend or not. Enjoy⦠Ben Settle This email was sent by Ben Settle as owner of Settle, LLC. Copyright © 2021 Settle, LLC. All Rights Reserved.
