Email Players subscriber Lorri Yurkowski checks in: === Little thank you note to say that your teachings have done a lot for me this week... They helped give me the confidence to get 10k more (plus bonus!) than I was initially offered from a very up-and-coming SaaS company. I used some of your ideas in the negotiation and am excited to accept an offer I kinda can't believe is totally real. I grew up poor, so this seems bonkers to me. I'm such a people pleaser by nature. And, it's tough being a woman who is only just starting to understand her worth. Negotiation doesn't come naturally to me. At all. Surprisingly (but maybe not), it was the stuff about negative striplines that seemed to really set me apart for this prestigious copywriting role... I think they highlighted my trustworthiness. And made whatever talent I might have more believeable. Anyway, between you and the other high-level copywriters in the "Discord Brigade" (as some have started calling us...) I'm reaching heights I never thought my blind ass would see in my career. All this expert influence on me has changed who I am, and what I believe I can achieve. Like, seriously. I'm a blind, Indigenous college dropout with a special needs kid. Anyone can do this if they just effing listen to good advice and stop screwing around! PS, I'm sorry sometimes if I seem like a bragging jerkoff in these notes! I'm not like that in real life at all, haha. I want you to know that your work has meaning and that I appreciate you so much. === Pay special attention to this part: “Anyone can do this if they just effing listen to good advice and stop screwing around!” Nothing works without doing that first, Spank-a-roo. And I will say this: In my biased - but accurate - opinion the January Email Players issue is the near-perfect “guide” for how to apply the knowledge you not only learn from me, but anyone else, now or in the future. It features an extremely potent technique that I believe those who possess it in 2022 and beyond will have a completely unfair advantage over others they compete against — in business or out. I don’t care if you’re writing emails. Or negotiating better deals. Or trying to build an email list. Or wanting more and better clients. This secret technique inside can help with any or all of that and a ho’ bunch more. Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
