An inquisitive fellow asks: === What’s your take on this idea as a hit em up as soon as they’re on the list, kind of approach? Iv taken Amy Porterfields DCA and the whole approach is about warming up a market. Am sure you've got too many emails to reply directly to this one, but its a back of my mind musing that would be a great lift if one day could be clarified, some what. Ie. When is the right time to start introducing a sale. Before the webinar? After the webinar? Or just ignore the webinar and pitch off the bat. Anyways. Loving what you do. Breath of fresh air in a stagnant BS world. === The short answer: Do the “warm ‘em up” thing only for as long as you can afford to fail or make less sales in your business. “Heresy!” some fanboy will shriek while stroking his autographed Gary Vee book. I know warming up leads, good will emails, nurture sequences, etc are all the rage. I can think of very few who don’t do, teach, and advocate that sort of thing. And you can do whatever you like. Me? I strictly follow the law of the jungle approach to just about everything in marketing, selling, advertising, copywriting, influence, persuasion, and business. Predators don’t “warm up” before hunting. They just… do. That’s my entire approach to growing an email-driven business in a hot take: 1. Build list 2. Mail that list offers designed to make a direct sale (or lead to a direct sale) 3. Sell those buyers something else Rinse and repeat each day. No time to graze on grass all day like the fat and vulnerable animals do. That’s the very short version. The devil is in those rascally ol’ details.
