A couple months ago the great Brian Kurtz had me speak to his Titans Xcellerator mastermind members. One of the things I taught ‘em: “Media stacking is the new email list building” Media stacking is a term I invented last year to explain what brilliant publishers have been doing since at least the time of the late billionaire newspaper tycoon William Randolph Hearst who pretty much pioneered the idea. Take this snippet from Hearst’s biography “The Chief”: === [Hearst] built the nation’s first media conglomerate by extending his newspaper empire horizontally into syndicated feature, photo, and wire services; magazines, newsreels; serial, feature, and animated films; and radio. . .The opportunities were limitless for expanding his empire — and his audiences — and he capitalized on every one of them. Decades before synergy became a corporate cliche, Hearst put the concept into practice. His magazine editors were directed to buy only stories which could be rewritten into screenplays to be produced by his film studio and serialized, and reviewed, and publicized in his newspapers and magazines. He broadcast the news from his papers over the radio and pictured it in his newsreels. === This is what media stacking looks like. Except, today you can do it without being an international billionaire media mogul. And the exact same concept can be applied to building your own business empire. For example: My email list (media) is tied at the opt-in stage to my mobile app (media). From email and the mobile app I primarily sell my “Email Players” print newsletter (another media — which will soon have its own mobile app, i.e., another media attached to it), SocialLair platform (media), Learnistic platform (media), plus all my print books (each a media unto itself), which have links to not only my email list (media) but also automatically puts them in my mobile app (media) and also links to my other books (medias) and software (media) platforms. And round and round it goes. The above is just a quick “snapshot” of what it can look like. And it is only about 50% of what my media stacking really looks like. (I did an “Email Players” issue about this last year with the full pattern) But the point is this: I “stack” medias on top of my email list. With each media feeding & building upon the others in a way where they all enrich each other, and where if one goes down, the rest of my business still can keep standing. Get enough medias working hard for you, each able to support you & and your family on its own if SHTF… and your empire can be potentially almost impervious. Personally: Even with the above I’m still nowhere near where I ultimately want to be with this. Thus, I recommend the sooner you get started the better. But it all starts with email. And, specifically, picking an email platform that is built from the ground up to enable & advance your own media stacking endeavors. Enter our new BerserkerMail platform. Here are the details: 1. Until tomorrow, Friday September 24 at midnight EDT (or possibly earlier depending on demand) you can get a free test drive of it — after which free test drives will be closed for a while to “iron out” any lingering bugs & glitches, etc 2. Play around with it, check out the options, see how seamless & intuitive it is… and see if it “clicks” for you — with no credit card needed, and zero obligation 3. If you decide to subscribe during this test drive… you can have it at a substantial monthly discount, and be “grandfathered” in for life at that price forever. (Barring any sudden rise in hard costs imposed on our systems due to 3rd party forces beyond our control — which is highly unlikely.) If you want to test drive it free, I highly recommend you do it today. After multiple software launches I’ve seen how it ain’t like info products. By that I mean, you don’t want thousands of people piling in right away. That only makes for a lot of frustrated & unhappy customers. It’s much better to grow slowly and roll out over time. Thus, the Friday deadline to get your free test drive may get abruptly shortened without warning. We shalt see how it goes. Really, it all depends on the demand. So this does not favor the procrastinator. Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
